We did the tour to the seite altares and playa Bianca with Happy Fish as well as a kayaking afternoon. Pretty much because it's the only travel agency in town except the communal lancha to be found at the docks which offers similar trips. In their little monopoly they get to decide the prices which are on the high end... More

Excellent boat trip from our cruise ship at a sensible price with an excellent guide (Freddie) wholeheartedly recommend for anyone wanting to see some of this beautiful area, with a normal level of fitness (some of our trip members were not fit enough to easily get in and out of the boat or walk any distance at all)

Being unable to locate any other excursion operators and unwilling to pay the high price of the cruise ship, we booked with Happy Fish for a $50pp jungle walk and dip in the 2 waterfall pools. We were a group of 4 and they required a group of 9 to make it a go so we recruited some fellow cruisers... More

We had booked and paid in full for the one day Belize snorkelling trip, overnight my boyfriend got very ill and was vomitting all night. We knew we could never do the boat trip like this and I wasn't really expecting that we would get our $140USD back (I even had doubts about getting part of it back) but the... More

I was GRANDPAcking in Livingston for 2 nights and ate down the Happy Fish one of those nights. It's a nice, mid-range option. We had a Tapado (coconut seafood soup) for GTQ75 and green salad (GTQ25). The soup was big enough for 2 and contained a whole fish, prawns, and crab.

We were 15 people in a small boat and rode the very rough, choppy water to the river. We seemed to hit every chop with a big bump. Very uncomfortable. I had read "little walking" on this tour. We walked and walked. No complimentary beverages as advertised. Lunch was served at 2:20pm and it was room temperature. Tough pice of... More

It was quiet when we went in but service was pretty slow. We ordered a ceviche to share and it was huge - so size wise good value, but had a bit of a fizzy taste to it which we thought might mean it wasn't super fresh. All in all ok but there seem to be better options out there.

We spent a day in Livingstone. The Happy Fish was on the main street of town. Prices seemed expensive but the waitress said we could easily share as the portions were big. The local soup, Tapado, a Guatemalan seafood soup, is amazing. Full of shrimp, crab, local river fish and plantains. That and a basket of bread was enough for... More

I had lunch here yesterday when vacationing with friends. The restaurant is on the main street and is everyone's recommendation. I had the fish fillet on grill and it was perfectly done. We also had Tapado that is a massive fish soup and whoever ate it enjoyed. The restaurant has an ice cream parlor adjacent that is a nice touch... More
