Maybe the best around, but definitely not the best ever. I'd recommend this among others or let your tourism guide help you decide. This was the best I was able to find in our short visit to this town.

We (a group of around 20 adults) came to this restaurant for lunch whilst sightseeing around Lago de Atitlan. We were shown to a large table upstairs, next to a balcony from which we could see the hustle and bustle of the town. The food was simple, yet well cooked and beautifully presented. I had the churrasco de lomitos, which... More

I had a great experience at Pescador. The restaurant was well appointed and the food was good. The appearance of the plates is also amazing, presentation is beautiful. This is the best guacamole on the lake. The beer is cold, you can have ice in your drink and feel secure. The food is safe. Get any of the fish fillets... More

The food was decent (I had the snapper). But nothing special. The atmosphere is very busy and rushed. Tons of your groups passing through. The views of the lake were nice.

I'd read some good reviews but was disappointed. My friend had the black bass that other reviews had praised but it was not that nice. My veggie dish was ok but nothing special

A large group of us ate lunch here during a tour of Santiago Atitlan and the lake. It was a very hazy day so we didn't see much of the lake, but we had a delicious lunch at El Pescador. Many folks had a pan seared bass filet with garlic sauce on the side, and a few of us had... More

I've lived in the area for five years and had never eaten here because I knew it was really for tourists and they didn't have anything I'd want to eat (I'm vegan). My dad and husband had been here once before and said it was okay, so I said I'd go along and just have some guacamole. My dad ordered... More

The menu said the bass was from Lake Atitlan, and I had it grilled. It was delicious. It was lunch time, and the restaurant was full. It looked like we were the only gringos there.

Nice setting in town. Only ate breakfast here but it was generous portions. Limited choices for bread and sausages were hotdogs. Nice service and very inexpensive.

We had been traveling all day from Antigua to Lake Atitlan. We were advised to go here for an early dinner. The food was not at all what we were expecting. We had been eating so good up until we found this place. No flavor at all. There is plenty of other places to eat in the town wouldn't recommend... More
