The atmosphere and location of this restaurant is just right for taking to lunch a client you wish to please. It is in the heart of what is undoubtedly the most important of the City's business centers. The 2nd floor location removes it from the...bustle of the street. Inside it is tastefully modern, and, unlike so many other restaurants in Guatemala, it avoids trying to look Spanish Colonial, or French Rococo, or pseudo-Italian, or a straw-covered "Rancho". No musak or marimbas. The food is quite good (I had some very nice croquettes as a start, followed by one of their duck specialties, and a classy dessert) and the portions small (desirable at lunch). The wine list has enough choices that you can find a bottle of good wine at an acceptable price. If you like to finish your meal with a good cup of coffee (as I do), theirs is good. Service was also OK to good.I don't give it a "5" because I have eaten better in the City (the nearby Jean Francois restaurant that just closed had a superior menu, in my opinion, even if more traditional). The restaurant is high-priced, but you get a good product.More
