Amazing views of the Mayan Mountains, Sleeping Giant, jungle and the citrus groves. The early morning sounds of the birds and sunsets are not to be missed here. There is a nice variety to choose from on the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef...is fantastic. He even shared one of his recipes with me. This flavor is a welcome change from the states. My personal favorite for lunch was the fish fingers with fries. Let the staff know if you have any allergies and they will be sure to accommodate you. Servers are kind and helpful. Bartenders create some colorful and refreshing drinks. A really great place to dine!More

We had been living in Belmopan for 3 months and this was my favorite restaurant. The views are amazing, but are surpassed by the food and friendly staff. We recently returned to Belmopan after being gone for 2 months and we were greeted as friends...returning for dinner. Definitely try to get here before sunset so you can watch the twilight settle in on the jungle forest while you enjoy the great food and drinks. We have tried many dishes, but my favorite is the pesto pasta dish. All of the specials have also been unique and flavorful. Can't wait for the outdoor pizza kitchen to be completed! Also- If you are looking for a great little hike to the top of the mountain, staff can help you get to the trailhead and then reward yourself with a great lunch.More

Very pleasant elevated open air restaurant with very attentive staff. The choices of food were varies with local and international styles. The food itself was only average with the meat and lobster being a little tough and excess breading on some Mexican dishes. Wine list...limited and the two wines I ordered were not all that good.More

On our trip down to the coast we decided to stop at Sleeping Giant for lunch. Maybe our expectations were a little bit to high since they received the award "Restaurant of the year 2019". Since we were a group of 6 they needed to...join 2 tables. It took them almost 10 minutes to do so. Since we could enjoy the really amazing view, this wasn't much of a problem. The lunch menu was okay, but nothing really special. Chicken fingers, burgers sandwiches, fish fingers and so on. Overall... service was really friendly, the food was good, the presentation was nice... but nothing was really exceptional.More

Living in Belize (on ambergris caye), we travel to the mainland several times a year and try different places. Having never tried sleeping gain before, we decided to stop in for a late breakfast and glad that we did. We each ordered different items, all...three were delicious. The service was great, friendly and we spoke with a member of the management team, Bismarck, who was very friendly, hospitable and a genuinely nice person. You can tell that he has instilled his enthusiasm for hospitality in his staff, friendly and easy going style, yet very professional and paid attention to detail. Highly recommend, you will be happy that you stopped here. On our next trip we plan to stay at sleeping giant to have more opportunity to enjoy their great food and I’m sure the hotel itself will be a pleasure.More
