I was so thrilled when I found this place. Food straight from her kitchen and well priced. I love eating like a local.

My husband and I had the Johnny cakes with beans, ham and cheese. Weird combination but was very yummy as a breakfast treat. Light and having you wanting more so we had 2 each = 4 for a total of $3.50 USD. They are not large just the right size for 2 to hit the spot. The Johnny cakes are... More

We love Mama Lizz too! Jonny Cakes were great for breakfast. Lunch of pork, rice and coleslaw was so yummy and so affordable. Thank you Mama Liz - we will be back!

We love mama lizz!you get into her house and she will give you lovely johnny cakes filled with beans, ham, cheese etc, as you prefer. With one, you are sated, with two stuffed (for breakfast). You can also get the coffee and sit at the table and chat with her. She is lovely. Great deal for a fullfilling breakfast away... More

A low budget Mom and Pop operation. We had a tasty meal (Shrimp curry) that was exactly what they said it would be. The best part was watching the sunset, with silhouetted fishing boats docking in the background. Very pretty.

Jonny cakes were good fresh and inexpensive. One lady makes the biscuits and another slices and fills them, a mini assembly line.all the locals stop on their way to work or school.

Want a real Belizean meal? Stop by Mama Liz's house on the corner of back street near the dock. She welcomes you into her home(you can literally eat at her table or take out) for authentic beef, chicken or pork with rice and beans piled high. The flavors will make you come back for more and the price will extend... More

Mama Lizz's makes the best Johnny cakes EVER! We heard about Mama Lizz from a local who we met at Caulker Pizza. We'd been searching for a good local spot to eat and this was exactly what we had in mind. My favorite johnny cake was the ham and cheese, but we also tried the pulled chicken-n-cheese and bean-n-cheese too.... More

We were introduced to Mama Liz's Kitchen by our friend Stella at Sailwinds Beach Suites. What a glorious gift! The best food on the island with authentic, fantastic flavors! Mama Liz's is the place locals go for great food. It is set up as a take out place, but there is a kitchen table for eat-in meals. Wonderful people, warm... More
