This little gem was a bit difficult to find (just north of Mayan Air), but worth the search. We were greeted right away. Our server was fantastic (thanks Farid), and our food was delicious. We had conch fritters (my husband cannot seem to get enough of them) and Salbutes. They were delicious! The owners both stopped by our table to... More

This is one local restaurant you don't want to miss! Wonderful and involved local owners, excellent service, and amazing food - no matter what you order!! Local seafood is prepared in different ways, so there's something for everyone. Chicken and pork done in specialty sauces are divine! And their fritters are the best on the island, hands down! It's small... More

Typical Mayan food. The owners were so proud of their food, as they should be. It was unusual, really well executed, and an experience.

Although we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a table, the staff was very sweet and accommodating, and the food was excellent. I had the shrimp kebab with mango sauce and my boyfriend had the creole shrimp, both of which were flavorful and delicious. The lime juice (limeade) was also really good. I would go back to El Fogon... More

This was possibly our best dinner in San Pedro. My daughter had crab legs and they are cooked somehow in their special cooking area and therefore took quite awhile. However the waiter was clear about this from the start and kept us updated. I had shrimp with mango sauce kabob ,that too , was very good. The unfortunate experience here... More

Just had dinner at El Fagon. We all had seafood (grilled lobster, shrimp and creole). Service was great, food was delicious with a good size portion! The atmosphere was very Belizean with live music. A must to try!

By Far the Best food on all of Ambergris Caye. We charted a boat to go fishing all day and returned with our fresh catch which El Fagon was MORE than happy to cook up for us! I just told them to do "chef's choice" and I was BLOWN AWAY by the house coconut curry. Service was EXCEPTIONAL. We went... More
