I love the location and service of this place and the atmosphere is really cozy and fun. The dinner menu had great choices. I had the seared Ahi Tuna and it was perfect. My husband had paella and he says it was good but he has had better. My younger son had kids' chicken strips and really liked it. My... More

Feeling hungry and the favorite lunch grill up the street was full. We spied Tamara's on the corner. We were seated and greeted quickly. We ordered from the list of Specials. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was juicy and seasoned just right. Homemade potato chips. A special sauce. Delish! The Pork Tacos were yummy!

While visiting Apalichcola for a family reunion I had several meals at Tamara's. The seafood dishes were always very good. To mix it up once I tried the pork tenderloin special and wished I had stuck to fish. The pork was extremely dry. I should have known better. The service was always very good at Tamara's and was way better... More

although they do serve fried oysters which are fabulous, it is a departure from the usual seafood place. More of a Central American presentation, you may have black beans and rice with your entree. My fellow man and I agreed this was a yummy accompaniment to his fish and my roast chicken. The portions are large and filling, and the... More

There are lots of places in Apalachicola to eat. We have found that Tamara's Cafe is a great place to do breakfast and recently enjoyed lunch there. Tamara's has two sides. One is a Tapa's bar and we havent tried that side. The other is the cafe. It is nicely laid out where you can sit comfortably with a small... More

Popped in to get coffee and a sweet. Great little cafe. We came right as lunch was over but didn't realize it until seated. Server was an angel, reassured us no hurry. Made fresh (!) coffee and shortly afterwards delivered our fried banana split dessert. Smooth, creamy, rich and just right. Chef came by sat and chatted as if we... More

My friends think this is the best Keylime pie in Apalachicola. That's pretty high praise, because many restaurants serve good Keylime pie here. I like their menu, I like the ambiance. I have had girl friend lunches here that are great, and I had a lovely Valentines dinner here as well. I like the service and the servers.

I had the grilled romaine salad and the crab stuffed Mahi Mahi; my wife had the pear calibrese salad and the pork chop. But she didn't want the crawfish sauce for the pork chop as she doesn't like seafood. The waitress said she would talk to the chef about other options; the owner/chef then came to the table, sat down,... More

Stopped here for a quick lunch. The service was fantastic. The beef short rib special was excellent.

After spending two weeks along the Forgotten Coast, indulging in raw oysters and fried seafood, what a treat to eat at Tamara's. Flavorful, well-prepared food that took advantage of locally sourced seafood, but took it in another direction. My husband had the blackened grouper with black beans and rice, and I had the paella ( with shrimp, scallops, chicken, sausage,... More
