My family and I came to your restaurant today for the first time. The food was excellent, however, we ordered half portions of our meal and received full portions. We were unaware -- never having eaten there before -- that the portions we received were full portions. The waitress charged us full price and when we confronted her with the... More

Great food! Moderate prices. Good service. Excellent beer selection. German band on select nights. Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.

Food and service were both sub-par. Food was bland, and the server was more interested in her cell phone. They were also playing TruTv garbage so loud. Won't go back.

I am not a big fan of German food, but the people were very nice and it was fun atmosphere. We will go back because we have friends that really like German food and this was pretty authentic.

Took the family - we have some German blood somewhere in our ancestry!! We only waited a few minutes for our table. The staff were really friendly and everyone - even the kids - really enjoyed the food. Great beer selection! I'll be back for lunch - I work not too far away. We're planning on trying out Band Night... More

I always leave a little hungry. It's really good, hut portions fit women better thana hungry man. It's good, jyst lite on portions, not typical for s German joint.

We had dinner for V-day. The place is just like being in Germany. Ordered the Roulade with red cabbage and spätzle and Jäger Schnitzel with sauerkraut and kroketten. All were delicious and our server Megan was terrific. An attached deli is the place to pick up hard to find German foods.

If you are hungry and looking for good German food, go to Helga's. This restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff is always pleasant and helpful to those who aren't acquainted with the German cuisine. The also have a bakery/deli where you can get your favorite desserts and condiments to take home and enjoy.

Traditional breaded veal schnitzel, was NOT FRESH it was reheated - about 2mm thin. Served as cut into 4 small pieces (never heard of before or see it!) instead of sizzling on my plate it was cold and hard as a cardboard. My husband had that days "Special" it was ham shank and vegetables. Between 2 of us we payed... More

Experience the enchantment of quaint small towns, vineyards and farmlands as far as the eye can see while majestic medieval castles stand grandly in the distance. Absorb the delicious aromas of hearty, savory food being lovingly prepared in family kitchens sifting through open windows. Welcome to Helga's German Restaurant and Deli. Experience authentic German home-style food and drinks with served with a side of "Old World' charm. Helga's was created in 1989 as a mother-daughter venture with a small, four-table restaurant. After spending their childhood in Germany, siblings Herbert and Helga have continued the tradition of their mother, Berta. Today, Helga's has expanded but has not departed from its humble beginnings, gathering a large loyal following of wonderful customers. Helga, Herbert and family maintain a warm and friendly environment where you can sit down to an authentic and delicious home-style German meal with family and friends.
