Initially just motorcycling through Almont, we decided to stop for a meal. It turned into a night stay, next day rafting and FOR SURE a return trip for next evening dinner - fresh trout, grilled steak and fresh cooked veggies at a reasonable price being a "resort" area. Great back deck outdoor seating! Cool indoor pool tables and bar for... More

The clam chowder was the best I've had in a long time; rueban sandwich was good and big enough for taking some back to the hotel for later. The waitress was friendly and spent time telling us about the history of the place. Cozy atmosphere and comfortable seating.

Having eaten chicken fried steaks in many places - always in search of the best - I think this has the best chicken fried steak breakfast I have ever eaten. The other breakfast selections by my friends were also good. Also ate dinner and it was ok, but I would not rate it as outstanding.

Food was very good but the veggie sandwich was unforgettable! Loved the selection of beer on tap too.

Don't know what happened to this place but it has gone seriously downhill. Me and the wife always stop by when we're driving through colorado couple times a year. Considered this place to be a hidden gem. Not anymore, waitress was sweet but the guy bartending was extremely rude. Got our usual nacho appetizer and it was just a soggy... More

I have eaten meals at all times of the day at the Almont Resort, but my favorite is Sunday brunch. It served until 12 noon. Good selection of items, my favorite is Chicken fried steak and eggs with cream gravy over everything. Good Folks though the waitstaff often are amateurs and are not the most efficient. Inside or out very... More

Our friends took us out for lunch at this resort restaurant in Almont. The area is very pretty and after driving around for a couple of hours we decided to eat at one of their favorite places. We had huge hamburgers with fries. Both couples shared one burger for each couple and had plenty to eat.

Friendly service and delicious food. I had biscuits and gravy, and it was good. My niece had pancakes, and after tasting hers I immediately regretted not getting them as my meal. They were the best pancakes I've ever had. Note: There is no changing table in the bathroom, and we were traveling with twin 6 month olds, so that made... More
