Obviously, the right pit stop for snacks etc on the way to/from Lake Tahoe. The roasted cashews are outrageous and the apple pie phenomenal. Other pies great - try rhubarb and strawberry which was a little sweet. Not much in the way of organic fruit...More

This is a "pit stop" for many Bay Area travelers headed to Tahoe. Burgers, pies, fruit, veggies and expensive wine. What more could you ask for??

We like to stop in here for lunch or a snack. There have good pies, fresh fruit and some unique salsas. We also like the mango smear.

This place is small, crowded, and wonderful. Great burgers and homemade pies by the slice. Serves beer so my husband was happy. Connected to a farmers market. They sell whole pies - desert pies and pot pies. Both were wonderful.

When I go through Auburn, I always make a plan to drop in on Ikeda's! It isn't cheap, but when you want apple pie ala mode....this is the very best!

Ikeda's is well know to locals, and has a wide range of foods in its market, as well as food cooked to order in its restaurant. Everyone can find something they like here.
