This is a true landmark for Auburn, Ca. The food, staff and atmosphere breathe of scrumptious deliciousness. A must visit for the I-80 traveler.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I had been to the old location downtown a few years ago, and we loved it. I looked forward to returning. A great choice! It's larger than the old location, and more spacious. It's the old Lou La Bonte restaurant. They have a full bar now with a nice selection of interesting... More

Big breakfast for your money. Delicious eggs the way you want them. So many choices, wheat, muffin, fruit and etc etc etc. Go when you are hungry.

Awful Annie's used to be in Old Town and many thought that they made a mistake when they moved to the Bowman area. They made the best decision ever! The parking is better (but still an issue because so many people go there). The ambiance is better. More people can be seated at the same time. The food is the... More

Awful Annie's has the most unique menu in the region—omelets, scrambles, salads, sandwiches and more, all done wonderfully different. Definitely try the spiced iced tea, and don't forget to reserve the bread pudding when you order—it's the best anywhere, and sells out early.

Their new location off the Forest hill exit of Hwy 80 is much larger and has better parking. Their food, which has always been good, remains so. Since we live locally, we do not frequent it as much as we did when we lived in the bay area and passed through Auburn for Tahoe and skiing. It was a well... More

The new Annie's is just OK. The atmosphere is a simple restaurant. Nothing special. Lots of hustle and bustle.

My husband and I ate at Awful Annie's on our last visit to Auburn. The food was great with outstanding service. We requested a table so we could watch our vehicle, which had our dogs inside, and were accommodated with a window table. The bread pudding was wonderful, this from someone who normally dislikes bread pudding. Now all we have... More

This is a fun restaurant, especially for breakfast. They have a unique twist on breakfast favorites, and the food is delicious and plentiful. It is a buzzing place, but the service is very good and everyone is friendly and helpful. It is great for kids too. It is a great stop for those on their way up to the mountains.
