We traveled to Washington via train and would recommend others doing same a very good service and great towns you travel through. This building is just spectacular and a must see.

They have some nice restruarnts here but for our visit they we all closed off from the public for some reasons and we were left with the food court. Yes, a food court, need I say more?

Definitely must visit Union Station! There are some great restaurants and shops and it's centrally located to everything!

It is worth going just to see the beautiful building. Amazing. We came in on Amtrak and were amazed by the beautiful Union Station around us. Most of the food court was forgettable at best. The Chinese dishes purchased by teens in our group were...More

My daughter and I needed to get to New York from Washington and rather than fly cattle-Class with AA (see my review on AA), we went by Amtrak. Excellent choice. It was so comfortable, even in Coach. BUT, the secret is this.......! Get to Union...More

A nice experience, reminiscent of old European stations like Berlin. The omly downside was the lack of signposts, very difficult to navigate as a foreigner.

I’ve been to a handful of train stations in the US and always find Union Station busy and clean. Even arriving very late—it was busy and clean. Most of the shops were closed, but I sat down to get things in order and people watch.

We rode the commuter train in to there. It is a very busy place but clean and lots of shops and eating places.

We ate at Johnny Rockets, awesome burgers. There are about 50 places to eat here. Union Station is a train station and also has a Metro stop. Worth it just to visit and look around.

For security reasons, there are no storage lockers at Union Station. There is a checked baggage room, which charges a daily fee -- I don't know how much. I believe that all items to be left there are x-rayed before storage

It is a 1.6 mile walk on google maps but if like to walk would be nice walk as walk by Capital building and up Nationalmall. The museum is close to Washington monument. Closest is by metro
