This was our first time eating in Chinatown & we were not disappointed. The food was amazing & the place was affordable. Our family of 5 ate for$70, including tip! We're already planning a trip back!

Ducked in for a late lunch and were dumbfounded at speedy service and delicious food. Extensive menu and each item we ordered was tasty.

Eat First is located just about a 1/2 block across the street from the Gallery Place Metro Stop. Outside the front has a celebrity picture of John Travolta as a guest eating here so we thought that it should be a recommended place for a decent Chinese dinner. As it turns out, the service was good but the food is... More

An American friend took us along to this place and we're so glad she did. The restaurant has absolutely no frills to it, simple decor and formica laminated tables. But the food is excellent. We started with wonton and hot & sour soups, then had a number of different dishes on the table to share - szechuan chicken, scallops &... More

Disgusting. Spoiled meat, badly prepped food. The place was completely empty for lunch but I took my chance and I regret. Do not go to this place - there are so many good choices in Chinatown! The food was disgusting, made lazy way. The meat in my Szechuan chicken was bad and tasted like tripe. they didn't even bother putting... More

The restaurant was dated and needs a remodel. The fried rice was awesome and some of the best I've had. The service was very good.

DC's Chinatown was always small, but it has become even smaller lately, with the success and assimilation of Chinese-Americans and their businesses. So many have moved to the suburbs that natives now refer to Chinatown as Chinablock. Nice arch, though. And places like the Verizon store or Walgreens with Chinese lettering, but 95% Caucasian and A/A patronage. In any case,... More

My wife is Chinese, and I have traveled a lot in China. While in D.C., we wanted to have an "authentic" Chinese meal. This review is based on that goal, and does not compare it to typical Chinese restaurants in the U.S. The fried dough was good. The spinach was very tasty, but too oily. There was enough for four... This place is hands down awesome! I have been to Chinatown plenty of times. Some places are more flashy, others have big signs-- all disappointments. Finally a place with great prices, very clean, fast service. This place is our new go to spot!

Wait staff were rude, and unattentive. Food was ok, and I had to ask three times for white rice and to have our water refilled. Bathrooms were absolutely filthy. So filthy that I am wondering how they can have a restaurant in the first place. My wife noticed the cook ( who we could see cooking through windows was smoking... More
