Good food, good beer, good service. Loved the hot pretzels and the crab cakes were perfect... it was nice to not have to wait forever to eat.

First off, they only sold their own beer which I thought was awesome. The Amber Wave was a great winter beer. Happy hour beer was $3.50. Went before a Caps game so it was pretty packed but found a spot at the bar. My food...More

My wife had friends visiting over the weekend. Walking around we decided to try out Capital City Brewing. I ordered beer brewed in house, the port something. I found it to be very good. I was very dark and fairly heavy, a coffee taste with...More

Let me first say our waiter was so nice. He took our order and food came out in a timely manner. That’s where it ends. After appetizers, our main courses came. Problem was nobody bussed our table. As a result, we still had all the...More

I came here after a visit to Ford's Theater in DC. It's close and convenient. The two people at the hostess table obviously are in the wrong jobs. No welcome. No "Good Afternoon..." No, when I asked for one for lunch, one just stared at...More

Happy hour is rocking in this pub. Take a seat at the bar & have the friendly bartenders pull you a local brew. The food is good too, so hang out & enjoy some banter with your bar mates.

Went for dinner on a Saturday evening at 5:45. The place was buzzing and full to capacity, but they honored our reservation exactly on time. Efficient, friendly staff. I had a perfectly cooked salmon with vegetables and my husband enjoyed his crab cakes as well....More

I went to this restaurant once for lunch and once for dinner. Lunch was very good only spoiled at the last moment for the fact that the check presented included items not from our table, so adding >$10 to our bill. Promptly fixed, though. At...More

Capitol City Brewing Co. opened its doors in 1992 as the first brew pub in our nation's capitol since prohibition, thus giving its citizens and its many visitors the freedom to enjoy some of the finest hand-crafted beer in the country. On the front of our menu is the symbol of freedom, the Lady Liberty, a statue found atop our namesake, the United States Capitol.

Nestled in the heart of Washington's rejuvenated downtown, this location has become a local landmark for celebrating great beer and food with family and friends. We have always taken great pride in our beer so come in and enjoy a cold pint of our very best and match it to one of the many menu selections tailored to the brews we serve.
