I went by recommendation of a local friend and ordered 1 cupcake for each member of my family. None of us ate it. I have had better cupcakes. The size is way to large, the place was packed, no place to sit, we had to stand in a long line and was very disappointed. Would not got back.

Great coffee and sweets, nice place to sit and enjoy the local scene. Walk around the neighborhood afterwards.

So, I have a rule. I NEVER wait in line for food. Any type of food. At all. Well, on a Saturday in March, baked and wired made me break my own rule. I had the uniporn and rainho ( I think that's what it was called) cupcake and the best cup of coffee! GO! WAIT! it's worth it.

This used to be a bakery only few knew about. Now everyone knows about it but it's still amazing - just don't come at peak times or you'll have to wait in a line down the street. Highly recommend the Chaider for a drink (chai + cider) and the Tasseti (spelling....) cupcake. PRO TIP: You can call ahead and order... More

This cupcake and coffee place is very popular. Be prepared to wait in line to get in. The wait is so worth it! The place is small but there is some seating in two rooms in the back of the store. The line moves pretty quickly. I had the red velvet cupcake and it was awesome. The cream cheese frosting... More

I'm #3,097 to review. some serious fans. This is, by far, my favorite bakery. Outstanding cupcakes, cookies and people. It is so unique and welcoming. Everything about this place screams yummy: if you indulge, prepare to pay the piper: exercise more - no guilt trip here. I asked ( well, I actually begged) the person at the cupcake counter if... This place is on most lists of places to eat in D.C. it's also highlighted as the top place in D.C. for baked goods. So that being said prepare yourself to stand in line! I attempted Good Friday and couldn't manage with the line so I tried again on Easter Monday. At 10am on a rainy morning I scored! No... More

We came to Georgetown with plan to stop at Georgetown Cupcakes. Before stopping, we had dinner at restaurant near by. Our waitress suggested we skip the really long line, and head down to Baked and Wired. She said this is where the locals go. We decided we would do both, to see who's cupcakes were better. To make an even... More

Baked & Wired is all the fuss apparently so my landlady took me to this place which is supposedly meant to have the best cupcakes. The limited edition cherry blossom cupcake is such an anticlimax - it wasn't as moist as the other cupcakes and having glace cherries inside was such a disappointment with a bit of sugary pink icing.... People recommended us this places a cozy sort-of-office. We arrived to find out that they didn't have enough electricity plugas, and no wi-fi. We still stayed for tea and stole wifi from the neigbours. Fair enough, it has a cozy environment.
