Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There were a number of pizzas I had the privilege of trying and enjoyed each of them. So much so, that I even ate the crust of every slice, when I normally don’t. It was the perfect thin crust that’s soft and yet has a...slight crisp. My favorite was probably the one with goat cheese. A pizza is probably a decent size for an individual. But going as a group is always great for everyone to get the chance to try some more variety. I like Wise Guys, however, this more so, especially the crust. Definitely recommend you give it a shot and I’d be tempted to try other foods other than the pizza too. Although, the cannoli was a little bit of a let down. I’m a bit particular and a bit biased because I’ve been able to have some awesome cannolis in my time. And this one was plane, with no pistachio, nor chips or chocolate. All and all a great experience and recommend repeat visits.More

Great service, good food and the ambience is great. Had good music playing, pizza came out pretty quick and they have a good selection on cocktails and wine.

Took a large group here for dinner and was seated upon arrival even though we were a little early for our reservation. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and most of us ordered pizzas which were fantastic and huge. It's a very lively atmosphere and service...was really attentive even though the restaurant was very busy that night. A great place to celebrate with a large group.More

Had a great dinner on a busy Saturday night. Four of us had a rez and were sat promptly- the guy who sat us was super nice. Impressive drink selection, they have a great variety of spritz’s to choose from! We had bruschetta as a...starter and it was great; loved the freshness of it. Two of us ordered pizza, one a salad and one a calamari and it was all great. The pizza stole the show, however. Such a great crust, chewy and thin, just like Napoli. Loved it! Had the tres leche and cannoli for dessert and it was all delicious. Server was excellent, attentive yet never in the way. Loved this place and will return.More

We enjoyed an early dinner on busy Saturday night in Georgetown. We ate inside by a window that gave us a fun view or the activity on the street below. The meatballs are delicious as is the pizza. Pizzas are very sharable. They would be...big for one person but not too huge when split between two. They have a fun, refreshing spritz menu. Recommend making a reservation as it was bustling even at an early hour. Service was efficient and lovely. Looking forward to a return visit.More

The wait was crazy long and they kept saying 10 minutes. Not ok. The food is fine but not worth the wait. The can’t handle a crowd and we were very disappointed by the slow service. Don’t take reservations if you can’t honor them.

Gnocchi tasted like cafeteria quality and was served after other members in party had finished. Lobster ravioli had no discernable lobster. Service was awful. Food was not good. Felt like a tourist trap. Skip it.

We visited this restaurant a few days ago with friends. The pasta and pizzas that we had were enjoyed by all. My friend really liked the gluten free pasta. A special shoutout to our waiter, Arslan. Great job!!

Horrible experience. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. Food wasn’t much better than Olive Garden. Then to top it off the waiter tried to pressure us into leaving a higher tip. Do not recommend

We dined at Il Canale and were unimpressed. It had good reviews on Trip Advisor and Google, but it was very disappointing. We started with the Il Canale Salad, which was small for the price, had hard dried apricot in it, and a "housemade strawberry...vinaigrette" that was thickest "vinaigrette" that I have ever experienced - not good at all. We said that we wanted to split it when we ordered it, but it arrived at the exact same time as our entree - no thought as to pacing or timing at all. Additionally, the dressing did not taste natural whatsoever. Then my wife had the Ravioli ai Porcini e Tartufo for 2. Unfortunately, the sauce was a thick, yellow goo - not very subtle or appetizing at all. Although our entree was for 2, we had to ask for extra plates. If you want "fast" Italian food, perhaps you might enjoy this establishment. We had a discount card which made the dinner more tolerable, but it made us realize why they provide discounts. Overall, we found the food to be middling and we will not return especially since there are so many restaurants in the Georgetown area.More

...and shared a caprese salad and a meat lover pizza. Both were OK. The caprese was generous with the mozzarella, but lacked fresh basil. The pizza toppings were fairly sparse - it was more like a dough lover pizza. Service was friendly.

Street parking only outside the restaurant. And it does get very busy. There is a public car park at the bottom of the hill only a few minutes walk away
