We shared a simple tomato and basil spaghetti dish to start. It was excellent. The veal Milanese was pounded perfectly but lacked flavor. It was large. We should have split it as well. They continue to carry Jermann wines which a number of other DC...More

…one knows what the Café Milano will be like while walking to your table: voluble neighbours, over-lit, prompt service and predictable food. The Italian food here is deeply unimaginative and mired in a last century time-warp, the slow food movement is unknown, ingredient combinations unchanging,...More

Great food and the service. The hostess wasn’t the most helpful, made us wait for a table longer than we like. There were tables empty and they weren’t offered to my wife and I. We were told they had reservations for them, well we were...More

The food was average, the atmosphere was nice minus the staff. They were surly, lazy and rude. They have a nice patio, but won't return due to the bad attitude of so many staff and servers.

My daughter and I stopped in for a late lunch after a full shopping day, definitely under dressed and with many shopping bags. The personnel from the Hostess who greeted us, Maitre D' who seated us to the wait staff were impeccably dressed, polished, professional...More

Local favorite with a buzz. Glamorous and busy. Solid real Italian food. Loads of friendly professional servers. Now looks a bit dated and need of a redo but comfortable none the less.

Like many have said about this place, politicians and out of town visitors come here to be seen but not approached. The service and the food are always consistent. Fall is a great time to visit as the ambience of the place gives a sense...More

We heard about Café Milano on Charlie Rose. We had an upcoming trip to Washington DC so we made a reservation. The location is good. It is in the heart of Georgetown. There is a parking lot across the street but would recommend you take...More

I would say smart casual. There are always men and women in suits...I would not wear jeans to go to Caffe' Milano but you will not be turned away for wearing them.

Guests savor genuine Southern Coastal Italian cuisine in a setting reminiscent of a stylish Milan boutique. Framed designer scarves adorn the walls in a creative and colorful homage to Italian fashion. The ceiling gives way to coves of hand-painted murals celebrating Italian culture, including the stunning portrait of famed opera singer, Placido Domingo, in the room named in his honor. During warm-weather months, the front wall of floor-to-ceiling windows open onto an outdoor sidewalk patio, adding a touch of Northern Italy to the Georgetown streetscape, creating one of the most sought after dining spots in Washington. Since owner Franco Nuschese blazed onto the DC dining scene over twenty years ago, Cafe Milano has been a power center for diplomats, politicians, journalists, broadcasters, lobbyists, entertainers, and all who enjoy fine Italian food and gracious attentive service.
