A special dinner made more special by Josh & Jesse who treated us like old friends or family even though this was our first visit. Daunted by the dreaded "restaurant week" menu Josh, the GM, spent time discussing it on the phone when our first...More

Right now I'm obsessed with ramen so whenever I travel I look for restaurants that serve ramen. Daikaya has two restaurants in the same location. The one on the first floor serves ramen only and is walk-in only as well. It's communal sitting, long tables...More

I loved the décor in this restaurant - textile decorations on the walls and wood everywhere felt like you walked through a door on 6th street in DC and out into the mountains of Japan. Menu was very interesting and our waitress did a great...More

Just awesome. The ramen served downstairs is absolutely delicious and well worth the money, plus they serve beer, so you can get a cold Sapporo to enjoy along with it. Dark, complex, hearty broth with just enough of a hint of sweetness to make it...More

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday. The wait was not long. Living in the Portland area, I’m use to the wait for restaurants. The ramen was excellent, I loved the broth. If I lived in the area, I would go back....More

I went with a friend to get ramen on the first floor. It was a little after 11am on a Sunday and we didn't have to wait, but it is really small so there was a wait starting by the time we left. They don't...More

Thoroughly enjoyed an early dinner at Daikaya. Waiter helped us order a wide variety of small plates that made for a terrific meal. Particularly enjoyed the pork belly and brussel sprout skewers and the fried eggplant. Suggest reservations as Daikaya is very popular.
