Had an amazing Anniversary dinner here! Their tasting menu is so fun. Everything we had was delicious. It's also the most affordable tasting menu in D.C. Spring for the drink pairing. Service was so quick and attentive. Love this place!

Right off the bat, we loved the concept of all you can eat for a reasonable price. We ordered almost everything vegetarian on the menu. The standouts were - the hand cut fried with aioli, the cauliflower, the tzatziki- like dip and the marinated olives...and pickled onions. The fried chicken was good but not as delicious as it sounded on the menu. However, the highlight of an already great meal was the Forest Gnocchi dessert, which swept us off our feet! You could easily go to Ambar just for that one dish alone, although we would recommend trying the other Balkan dishes on the menu as well.More

You pay for "all you can eat" small plates. The food was unique and delicious. Enjoyed everything I ate. However, I can understand being out of 1 menu item, but when out of 3 when as a table we ordered about 14 different items, that...is an issue. The server had a mask below the nose which means he didn't wear his mask. I will come back and recommend, but they need to do better purchasing.More

Wonderful food and ambience! We went for the Ambar experience with cocktails. Bring vegetarians, we were not disappointed! Everything was perfectly seasoned and super delicious!

If you have not tried Ambar you are missing one of Washington’s Premier restaurant experiences. This was our first visit since pre-Covid and they have undergone a major renovation. The food was great before and it is still great. Prior to the renovation it was...a small, quaint neighborhood restaurant in an old building. It is now a well-designed, well laid out contemporary Bistro. The small plates are fantastic the drinks are better than would be expected and the Balkan wine surprised me with a quality. By all means you must try it. The fixed price unlimited menu makes it all the more attractive.More

My son made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday. I honestly was very weary after looking at menu online. However i was very pleasantly surprised. The food came in small portions so we could try everything and it was very good. The staff was...very niceMore

Our family had the best time here! The food was delicious--all shareable small plates, and it was hard to decide our favorites because they were all so good. This was described to us as a "family-style" place, and it was--especially in the service. We had...a family member with a severe allergy in out group, and the staff treated us with the utmost care. We also appreciated the allergy friendly menu option. This was just a fun, delicious experience that we will never forget.More

Returned to our favorite restaurant in DC post their renovation with two other couples. Wow! Better than ever! Seated in the wine room, it was a lovely setting with excellent service as always. Receipt says our server was Alexandr but I thought his name started...with a B. This place is hopping. The food and drinks are phenomenal and the kitchen has it figured out so that you always have plates to eat. Can’t say enough about the spreads to start, shrimp, fish, mussels, goulash, kabobs, Brussels sprouts, lamb, and more. This place has a fun vibe and the price can’t be beat for the Experience. Still number ONE! Make reservations!More

Food was really below par. We ordered so many items but none of them were Michelin level. Server so so rude and we didn’t get bread along with our Metze. It took 20 mins to get the bread and our metze. When we told the...server she said it will take time. Restaurant was super busy but that don’t mean one gets a poor service.More

Even though our group was on drink no.4 before our first round of food plates came, this place is worth every dollar. Bottomless brunch was amazing! The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. Our waiter was super sweet, fun and we overall had...a great time. Will definitely be returning!More
