My friends and I went for the all you can eat sushi for $20. The sushi was incredible. However, it took an hour and ten minutes for us to get our order served to us. To be fair, it was a busy night and the order was large, would an hour and ten minute wait be acceptable anywhere? We tried... More

Reasonably priced sushi and sushimi. Poor miso. Atmosphere and service ok. Good fora quick meal but nothing special.

Visiting Washington DC over New Years and this restaurant was recommended to me. I was warned about the slow service, but unfortunately did not set my expectations low enough! The sushi is actually very good, and the $20 all you can eat is a steal, if they can get your order right. The unfriendly server brought us two incorrect sushi... More

The empty dining area should be a clue but we tried it anyways. Low quality service. Low quality food. You're there only take occupied in the place and they're not even attentive. The employees were busy deciding which Starbucks drink they wanted to order since they were ordering as a group. I saw a few people come in to pick... More

We really enjoyed the sushi at this place, top notch quality! The service, however, was very VERY slow. It took at least 45 minutes to get our sushi, but it was so good it was gone in ten minutes!

Sushi Para seems to survive on being one of the few restaurants remaining open in the Van Ness neighborhood, serving a clientele comprised of UDC students and young professionals who live nearby. SERVICE: As noted by other reviewers, may be some of the slowest I've seen in a long time- this was true for both food and drinks. While I... More

Sushi is worth waiting for, but order big if you are going for the all you can eat - it's not fast. Good selection of sushi. Bathrooms could definitely use a scrub. Normally this would stop me from returning... Let's hope they fix this because we loved the sushi.

How the Japanese chefs here are not hanging their heads in shame for the service they provide is a mystery. They took 20+ minutes to bang out our order, and the place was empty. The poor wait staff cant do anything, and the manager is staring at the cash register. The chefs were more busy talking than working. Sushi was... More

To be fair, the place was packed with college kids the night we went, but the service took forever. Also, the bathrooms had paper on the floor, and no soap. Only one sake offered. Not sure I'll return.

This seems to be a great cheap place for UDC students. At $20 all-you-can-eat, you really get what you pay for. Don't come looking for any refinement or unique flavors. You'll get the job done-- filling up on sushi rice and tempura. However, when we dined here, there was only two guys waiting on the entire restaurant. Acceptable service.
