Walking in this place seems a little overwhelming. I am an avid book reader though and the moment you step in you forget your hunger for food and decide maybe your hunger for knowledge or a fresh perspective is what you need. So you get your table and your menu and now you are faced with the predicament of what... More

My daughter and I were staying close by and looking for a place to dine. The ambiance of this place looked very inviting so we decided to try it. I am so glad we did. I had the steak and asparagus salad and my daughter had the chicken Panini with that tomato soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was... More

I was attending a writer's conference at the convention center and this restaurant was conveniently nearby. Had brunch there on Sunday morning and must say it was a truly delightful experience. Very large place with lots of seating but still short lines waiting to be seated for brunch. All organic and locally grown food, a performance space for poetry readings,... More

This is a place that understands culture and food. On the inside you walk into a small culture issue literature area where you can purchase books and artistic items based around race, inequality and political statements. The vibe though is full on pleasant upbeat music with food smells surrounding the area. Our group got everything from vegan lunch, to brunch... More

Another wonderful experience! While the food remains top notch, (and I just love reading descriptions like: organic, grass-fed beef, locally sourced & fair trade!) there are 2 things that really stood out this time. An important GF update & a huge shout-out to an excellent server/Person. First, for those who need **GLUTEN FREE,** the manager, Brandon, told me to ensure... More

We ate here last Saturday eve with an extra half million in the area! It was packed @ 4:30 PM and. Placed our names on the wait list. Within 30 min we were @ our table. The staff exceptional! It was crazy busy and the staff were friendly and efficient. Even the Manager was bussing tables and helping his staff... More

My mom and I went here for supper during our weekend getaway. Walked around the corner to it from Hampton Inn on 6th Street. Unexpected surprise! Best crab cake platter I ever had. They were served over grits that were as creamy as mashed potatoes, covered with lobster sauce, and topped with fresh asparagus. My mom had a salmon dish... More
