This place was packed, and for a good reason. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, the oysters are from all over the coast, and the mussels were delicious. It's a rather small place, so make reservations in advance, and for an early time. They were out of many of the oysters by 7:30pm, but still had many to choose from. Fresh... More

This place is a hot weekend spot for all adult ages. The drinks were very good; however, I wish the waiter (or the menu) would have mentioned how spicy the gumbo was that I ordered -- it was too hot and I like hot. The oysters were awesome.

I enjoyed pearl dive oyster palace. It was packed but we were able to grab seats at the bar while we waited for a table. Had some delicious oysters and shrimp at the bar. The yuzu sauce for the oysters was delicious. The cooked dishes once we sat down weren't as good. Had the fish tacos and crawfish étouffée. House... More

The four of us enjoyed this place so much we went back the next day! Between us we had several raw oysters, Rockefeller, Cornmeal Crusted Chesapeake Oysters, Crawfish Fritters, Oyster Dinner and more. Everything was very good. Service and ambience was nice. Will be returning!

Having lived in DC for 3.5 years, PDOP has been my favorite DC restaurant since the first time I dined here 3 years ago. Every time I have friends or family come to town and visit, I make a point to reserve the Chef's Table. My favorite thing on the menu is the Duck Gumbo or the Seafood Gumbo

Our party of 8 really enjoyed the ambiance, the drinks, the oysters, and the service. Main courses were uneven, with some overwhelmed by the sauce. We have been there 5 times now and enjoyed it each time, but main courses were definitely not on par with previous visits.

Dinner was enjoyed by our party of 4. The menu is extensive, including a variety of oysters. Warm biscuits were a great start. The gumbo was excellent.

A nice lunch at Pearl Dive Oyster Palace. I had the catfish BLT po boy with fries. The po boy was good, but the fries were better. I also had the ricotta beignets that were absolutely lovely. I'd easily return.

Had no problem parking, make reservations, you can only get happy hour drinks at the bar, not at a table. Great oysters, I think we tried them all. You can get very fresh Oysters in just about every kind you can imagine from very briny, to very clean tasting.

the best way to enjoy this place is in the morning sitting at the bar with a dozen of oysters and either a mimosa or a bloody Mary. or both. the oyster selection is thoughtful and tasty. the drinks are robust. the sit down portion of the place is fine too but the point is the oysters. at the bar....
