This was an absolutely fantastic restaurant! I love Italian food and I would definitely go back the next time I visit. The waiter was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and specials. It should be noted that this is a family-style serving so whatever you may be looking at on the menu would probably feed anywhere from 3 to 6... More

As visitors from the UK we were unsure what to expect and having no reservations we didn't know if we would get a table. A great dining experience for the family. The family sized portions encouraged us all to participate in choosing from the menu and then when it came to serving spaghetti the laughter continued. The waiter, Kelvin was... More

After walking around the National Gallery of Art we were trying to find a place to eat so my wife came across this place. She thought this place had pizza and it turned out to be a different place but since we were hungry we decided to stay even though it was Italian and they didn't serve pizza. The ambiance... More

Great hospitality from the moment you walk into the restaurant. The quality and quantity of proportions over the top. The service was excellent. We will be back any time we visit Washington.

This place was great. An upbeat vibe and Frank's songs playing!! The food is family style so you better be hungry. Everything was delicious from the garlic bread to the chicken parm and meatballs.

I went with a small group of people I didn't know well. Turns out even the gluten free menu is 'family style' dining. I ended up ordering a portobello appetizer as my entree. I asked the waiter for an explanation of what it was. He said portobello mushrooms, cheese, tomatoes, with some lettuce. Okay, sounds good. Someone else at the... More

My wife's parents and I ate here on our trip to DC. We thought it looked expensive at first, but the portions were very large. We all four split the lasagna and a salad. We were all stuffed! It was delicious! The cheesecake was amazing as well.

We arrived a bit late for our reservation but were immedietly swept to our table. When I asked the maitre'd where the restroom was he said I'll escort, he even waited for me to take my coat off! As we walked to the restroom he asked my daughter her name and found out it was her birthday, gave her a... More

Seven of us ate with drinks, etc. for under three hundred with tip. Servings were family style and huge. Everything came out at once and was hot and yummy. Brought doggie bags back for lunch the next day. Staff was really great....Close to our hotel the Cambria and was suggested by Alex at the desk. Can't wait to go back..... More

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.
