Though the place was good- the interior and furniture but what we expected, we didn't got. I have tried many Indian restaurants and their taste is something different and unique. But at this place, the buffet was not only expensive but not tasty too! I won't recommend it for a a buffet for sure to others.

We have been patrons of Masala Art since it opened. It is our favorite place to take out-of-town guests, and we have celebrated many special occasions there. It's also a great place to go when you just want to have a really well-prepared meal with great service. Wonderful selection of appetizers, Tandoori, and vegetarian entrees.

Lovely setting but distracting with crying babies and toddlers on a Saturday night. Great service; Til aur Saunf wale Makai Kabab and sarson wali Gobhi for appetizers set the tempo followed by sharing of plates including fish, chicken and lamb rounded out the evening. More Naan please. Save us a seat, we'll be back with my AU soccer playing nephew... More

We really enjoyed this restaurant located in the heart of Tenleytown. It was very clean and cozy but. It crowded. Great selection of appetizers especially for vegetarians -- we especially liked the aloo tiki patties with a combination of sweet and savory and spicy. The food was really good, nicely spiced dishes, try the malai kofta (vegetarian). Our waiter Aniesh... More

Small restaurant with amazing service, constant attention to detail (glasses are always full thanks to the attentive watch of the waitresses). The buffet is limited but delivers - it would be nice to have more meat for us carnivorous. But for the price!!! (I think US$12 for the buffet?) this is a great value and highly recommended on 3 dimensions... More

3 friends ate here on our way to a nats game. 2 of us had chicken dishes one with a garlic and spinach sauce the other a creamy tomato sauce. Both of those dishes were excellent. The other person had 2 appetizers one a lamb sisqubab and the other a fish. Lamb was excellent and I am not a lover... More

Quality of the ingredients on the Lunch Buffet is impressive. Everything is very fresh and well prepared. I am a particularly huge fan of the diced vegetables and chutneys they serve on the salad bar. They know exactly what they are doing at this place. Just wish I lived closer to it.

I've been a regular customer and today my chicken pita had a staple in it. The bar tender who served me the food and the on site manager provided poor customer. They took my plate and ignored me. I had to ask several times for the owner's name. This restaurant has really gone south in recent months. The supervisor did... More

I generally don't prefer Indian food outside home. Someone suggested this restaurant in Washington. One of the most authentic Indian food I have ever had. The biryanis, Shrimp peri periperi, aloo sphere chaat, Sweet corn patties, baingan mirch ka salan were extraordinary. Such food is missed in India as well. Elaichi ice cream was unheard of. Fabulous!!! So was the... More
