A very popular (crowded) place. We were fortunate enough to snag seats at the bar. Service and food were both great. From the cornbread appetizer all the way through the shrimp/grits and the meatloaf to the beignets; everything was delicious.

This place is great! Upscale gastropub feel. The food was fantastic and their cocktails all made from scratch with interesting ingredients. Get the cornbread..it has actual pieces of corn in it..

One of the best, if not THE most well-run places I’ve had the pleasure of dining. As a restaurant veteran employee, I can say this was place has it knocked. Not only does the service coordinate perfectly- especially impressive late at night- but the bar...More

We loved this restaurant from start to finish. Amazing cocktails, incredible food, and fabulous desserts. It is pricey, but well worth it for a wonderful dining experience.

Founding Farmers, the Greenest Restaurant in DC, is owned by the more than 40,000 family farmers of the NDFU, serving American inspired real food and drink with an emphasis and focus on cooking from scratch. While our restaurant is supplied by hundreds of family farms everywhere, that doesn't mean we know every farm, and that doesn't mean we never have to buy product from the traditional (corporate) supply chain, but it does mean we're working hard to direct our purchasing dollars where it aligns with our values. We're serving the best food we can, made from scratch in our kitchens every day. Our innovative, American dishes are made primarily with pure ingredients honoring the farmers and their hard-earned bounty.
