Felt like we stumbled into a NYC restaurant that our Airbnb suggested right down the block close to the town center of Trinidad. Open, live music and a packed night for sure! By the time we left there was a line out the door, so I suggest getting there before 6.

Found this after a couple of so-so meals in Trinidad. It's obliquely set off the main square, i.e. If you are facing uphill at the lower end it's to the left a block or so. Quite nice interior, high ceilings and chunky chairs and tables, though former slave manacles, ankle chains and so on as decor kind of challenges one... More

although the line was fairly long our wait time was short. my only regret is that we didn't discover La Botija until our last day in Trinidad. I was a bit put off by how American the menu seemed, but once inside I had some of the best and least expensive grilled fish that I had in Cuba. Everything that... More

We first noticed this place with the big queue outside, anywhere this busy must be good! Our first visit was great, we were looked after well and the food was lovely. The 2nd time however the service was a lot slower. We ordered some of the same dishes as before and they turned up totally different as the previous nights... More

Nice restaurant for Tapas and cocktail with a live music. However, the service is a little bit slow and you may have to wait for a table for 30 min or more.

We popped in there during our stay in Trinidad (7th Nov). I've never heard or read about this restaurant before but every day we saw a queue of people in front. Massive one. So I sad to my mum: "It must be good!" We arrived around 6pm and didn't have to queue at all. Order was taken quickly, drinks served...... More

My friends in Trinidad suggested we go to Café Don Pepe for coffee which was okay but now l was hungry so we went to Taberna de Botija for food.. The wait was a bit long but it was worth it. The pizza was delicious and my friend had spaghetti which was plentiful and good. There was 3 of us... More

Good food, fun spot. Arrive early. They offer happy hour but forgot to take it off our bill, so make sure they give the discount

Came here for dinner. We didn't make reservation so had to wait for 30 minutes for a table for four. You can see how popular it is. Food here was really good and worth the wait. We ordered tapas, pizzas and spaghetti. All were good and prices were very reasonable too. The food presentation was much better than the usual... More

We visited twice as we liked the look of the place from the outside. We were staying nearby so had walked past it a few times. The food was good and the portions were reasonable. It was a really good price for what you got. The staff were also really lovely. We had the same waiter both nights and he... More
