Visiting Akaroa on a cruise and stopped in this restaurant while wandering the town. As lovers of dim sum, we were shocked to find approximately 7 varieties of dim sum, most with prawns. Surprisingly quite delicious!

We had lunch here and it was fairly priced and served quickly. The staff were friendly and accommodating. There is good, free wifi and chilled tap water too. Would recommend.
We were after something quick and cheaper than what was on offer elsewhere, La Thai was a fantastic find. This was recommended by the receptionist at the local Top 10 holiday park and we are please we listened to him. Huge portions of fresh tasting...More
We stopped here for lunch one day as we had been missing Thai food. The food was good, it could have been a little spicier. They even had Chang beer.
We are happy to hear that you enjoy our Thai food. For that extra spicy you can always ask our lovely staff for more chilli and you can add that on to suit your preference. Thank you.
One of the few places I could get a plain iced tea! They also had great ice cream and their pork buns ( Baos) were outstanding!! If we stayed longer, I would have eaten dinner there.
Thank you for your five start review. We are happy to hear that you like our tea, ice cream and pork buns. Hope we will see you next time you visit Akaroa.
Good range of Thai food. The restaurant has a nice location, it faces the Akaroa water front. Prompt and courteous service. The food was in large portions and quite filling.
