Fresh and light - healthy food, served in a modern way. The kitchen actually cooks its food, not like most places in town. Best alternative to fatty meat loaded meals served all over the town - the only place that will not be a burden for your gutters 😁

The restaurant is a bit hidden but it is a gem of Szczawnica! The dinner was absolutely amazing, super tasty, well-balanced and cooked to perfection! Also atmosphere of the restaurant is great and nice staff. Highly recommended!

Lovely dinner! Lots of choices, other then the cocktail menu was limited. Nice outdoor patio with a view of the mountains.

We really enjoyed two dinners here. The meals were creative and unusual but rooted in local traditions. They looked beautiful and tasted great, and were great value too.

The service was very good, and the food was innovative. Perhaps too innovative in some dishes.. for example, one of the appetizers, rabbit with cacao and vanilla didn’t work and was not tasty; but the salmon tartare was excellent as was the wild mushroom soup. The filet mignon was overcooked but the fish with caramel and cranberries was delicious. Putting the authentic Polish food aside, it was one of our favorite meals in Poland and a solid effort for Gourmet (polish standards, wouldn’t pass in Paris). All in all, I do recommend.

We went there twice because the food was so good and served beautifully on plates. The prices are moderate to low I would say with very friendly staff. However, if you order wine they would not know the right temperature for it to be served so it’s too hot but then rectify with a wine cooler. Mains and starter section excellent- a dish for every palate more traditional and more adventurous dishes. It would be great to introduce more choice for desserts - there’s only ice cream, cheesecake and more ice cream and a dessert that it’s description doesn’t say much. This is by far the best place to eat well in Szczawnica;-)

We had dinner here on two nights while staying at the hotel. Our waiter was very friendly and although he had limited English tried very hard to explain what was on offer. These where the best diners we had while on our walking holiday and I would definitely recommend Hotel Batory and its restaurant.

The very cute restaurant in the hotel Batory offers a kind service and amazing food with delicious variations of Polish cuisine as well as international dishes. Sitting in the restaurant is a pleasant experience as it is well decorated with antiques like photos and a piano while warming up by the fire - giving a very homely feel when the weather outside is cold.
