The restaurant is nothing from outside, but the better part is the interior. Located directly at the tram stop, it is a great location for a stop for lunch or dinner. The pizza was perfect, the coffee and especially the ice cream even better.
So we came here and asked for a free place, but everything was booked. Afterall we could sit to a table which was reserved for the time in an hour. After some time we noticed, that when somebody left and other people came over the...free places were always "reserved" but nobody was coming, which gave a feeling that the waitresses and mainly the manager of the stuff picked the bigger groups of people coming over to fill the tables and refused the smaller groups.
although there were 4 tables full only, it took them over 15 minutes to bring beer and I dont even mention they never came just to check, if we want something.
I must admit, the pizza I had was good, however, I dont feel like coming over again.More
We stopped here for dinner and both my husband and I ordered pizza. The toppings were really copious and the crust was great. Highly recommend their pizza! Nice wait staff. My only critique would be the cost for the wine - we ordered local wine...(which is great in Slovakia) and it was rather expensive by the glass compared to other establishments we had visited in the area.More
It's OK. Not bad but not great also. The portions are relatively small for their price (not for sharing) and the taste is fine but we had much better options. The service is fine but there is room for improvement there as well.
Went here on a Saturday evening,
The lady running the service did her best with 2 very inexperienced waitresses while the owner sat in the corner with a family birthday party watching his kids running around the place offering little or no help to the...overworked waiting staff.
The food for the price was very poor, we had 2 pasta dishes which were very dry, no sauce or coating to speak of, no inspiration.
One of my other guests had the Risotto with Rice that was not cooked, still bitty and crunchy, to top it off, (and be warned passionate and genuine Italian chefs) we were told the chef likes to serve his Risotto 'Al Dente', what a crime!.
It should be cooked creamy and soft so the starch can gently enhance the dish.
The Risotto was taken off the bill as it was not eaten, however it spoilt the night and left us all a little embarrassed, yes its a tourist area but the standard of food, especially for a premium Saturday night was truly terrible, we paid for 3 adults and one child close to £80 just for Risotto, Pizza and 2 pasta dishes with a few drinks, without a bottle of wine!.
One tip though, cheaper to buy the wine by the glass than by the bottle!..........More
Visited for an evening meal ordering 2 pizza and a risotto. Food was served quickly and pizza toppings fresh.
Very annoyed to have been scammed at the end of the meal as we asked for tap water to find that when the waitress asked if...we liked lemon (which we thought was a nice touch) that this justified it being charged at 6 euros!!
We complained and were shown water with lemon listed on the menu so had to pay up. Suggest if you go you stick to san Pelegríno as would have been cheaper....
Such a shame as leaves a bad taste on what could of been a much better review and at 50euros for 3 meals the food isn’t so cheap to not be able to afford a glass of tap water for kids....More
Sometimes menus get a horrible translation. In our case leeks was translated into zucchini. But even with the excuse of the chef, this pasta was probably the worst pasta I’ve had in my life. Such a shame.
