Fabrikas Restorans is a restaurant that has become an integral part of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Ķipsala. The restaurant is located on a reformed gypsum factory which has been converted into two exclusive apartment complexes. Fabrikas Restorans offers a spectacular view of the river Daugava as well as a panorama of Rīga. In 2015 the restaurant was renovated to bring a contemporary feel to a classic place. The food, like the location, is exceptional offering a fusion of Europian, Asian and Latin cuisines not seen anywhere before in Riga. If you are in Riga, Fabrikas Restorans is a place one must visit!

We had a lunch for a Bachelor celebration. The waiter was very welcoming and for an aperitif recommended cocktail named Don babushka what in Russian means granny. It was very nice combination of cloudberry, don papa rum and caramel.
After nice suggestion of cocktail we also followed for a food recommendation about taking oysters and we weren’t wrong they were very fresh. And also waiter sad that they are keeping oysters in special aquarium with sea water.
Also all the mains what we took- duck, beef cheeks, and chicken was very good. Like we all sheared we vote for duck, it was the best.
For the dessert we took chocolate fondant, home made ice cream and Marzipan cake . The marzipan cake was something out of this planet.
So Thank you all for an amazing experience.
And for very welcoming service
I think it was best service what we got in Riga ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Perfect spot for perfect brunch, served between 12 and 2pm.
There are 4 options for the set menu for only 16€: meat, including a bagel with bacon, fish including crousant with salmon, vegan and vegetarian.
We went for meat and fish options and loved it. Lovely deserts also included to that price.
For only 5.20€ you can get a glass of prosecco or go for more fancier French wine or shampagne.
For 8.50€ you will get nice cocktails.
Highly recommend!

Wonderful and amazingly good value for money special tasting event; seafood and white wines/ champagne. Everything was super (apart from I realised I'm not a fan of razor clams!) Service and setting on the river edge was perfect and it was extremely smoothly organised. Talks about the various wines were in Latvian but the expert gave us a little chat in English too. Corn bread and various aioli and dips/spreads plus palate cleanser watermelon sorbet. Awesome. Will go again.

We had a table reserved for 11 people for 12:00. The restaurant was not full, but we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes! Tables that arrived later than us were served faster. When we finally got the food, we ate, we had to wait at least 10 minutes while someone removed the dirty dishes. The food is ok, but nothing particularly tasty. We also had to wait longer for dessert than we would have liked. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Everything was just perfect. Starting out with the location and atmosphere - 10/10, the room was cozy and there was a really good view of Riga. Secondly, the waiter was very professional and everything was done perfectly from his side. Thirdly, the meals were delicious, especially the smoked salmon and chicken. Our taste buds were melting. The price for what you get is quite good.
We went there to celebrate a birthday and we would definitely go back again.

A Latvian friend recommended this restaurant and booked it for lunch for us. I was not disappointed. Fabulous setting on the river with great views (if your table is in the pontoon). But even inside the food is the star of the show. We had the goats cheese salad for a starter and the grilled perch pike for our mains. The portions are so generous that we couldn’t manage a desert but finished our meal with some excellent coffee. The service was exceptional and the little extras such as three kinds of home made bread with oil and balsamic vinegar really made it a truly memorable lunch.

Great food. Tuna with chorizo was perfect. 5 star. Good place for some celebration and also could be for company or business dinner. The weakest link is service. For bigger groups waiters can’t manage to keep table clear, forget about serving water, don’t offer as places like that after main dish by default dessert or coffee. Guest needs to look for service not opposite.

We had an ordinary dinner with nothing to highlight: service ok but quick and not so kind.
Among other things we had two salads and both were a confusion of ingredients and tastes. I would suggest the chef to be more simple and straightforward in preparing his/her dishes.

I have booked a table for my 2 children, my wife and I to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary for the 19th July at 12.00 pm ! Everything was perfect! The beautiful view on the floating terrace, the delicious dishes (the slow cooked beef cheeks is so tender and tasty!), the kindness of our waiter and the nice surprise for our wedding anniversary! Everything was delicious and full of flavor, from the crab and avocado ravioli to the creamy mushroom risotto served with spinach and green beans. Special mention for the wonderful dessert - raspberry soup with basil ice cream and Amaretto-soaked cocoa bean crumbles. The flavors complemented each other perfectly! Very nice homemade quince lemonade as well. Helpful and friendly waitress, calm and beautiful location overlooking the Daugava River, elegant ambiance, and reasonably priced. An absolute delight!

There are many good restaurants in Riga but few that I know of have the view of the river that Fabrkas has. Definitely go to this restaurant on a good weather day. I had a seafood soup and duck for my main course at lunch and found both very tasty. My server Lauris was helpful in his suggestions and attentive. I will certainly be back when I am in Riga.

While the seafood was nice, it didn't quite live up to the standards that we had hoped for. The mussels, in particular, were on the small side, but the rest of the dishes were pleasant. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. While it wasn't the standout experience we were hoping for, we still enjoyed our time at Fabrikas Restorāns and would recommend it to others looking for a nice seafood restaurant in the area

We had a delicious dinner here. The octopus appetizer was outstanding as were the other appetizers. The veal rack, which was not a real rack of veal, was amazingly delicious but the tuna main course was not good at all. Desserts were good, especially the coconut one.

The best meal in years. Excellent starters: soft shell crab, shrimp and more ( 12- 15 €). My rack of lamb with celery puree and fried fennel and Lambert sauce was sooo good. Excellent wine. And chocolate fondant for dessert. Worth the short jaunt across the river from the old town.

Nice restaurant with good service. As we did nor booked table, we sat inside of restaurant as terrace was full. Tasty foods, great service. A service fee of 10% was automatically added to bill, wood be nice to know it before.
