Restaurant Panorama is located in hotel Radisson Blu Daugava and has some nice views over the river of Riga. Restaurant itself is on the ground floor (you will also have breakfast there if you stay in the hotel) and I really would take the name...of "Panorama" with a grain of salt. I went to have dinner there and first thing I noticed was that it was quite dim there (except far back you had more light). There were few people there and I sat on a quite nice and convenient sofa-chair. As I was not very hungry I decided to stick with two courses and I am happy I did that. Partly because of the prices and partly because of the food itself. I started with Salmon tartar. Dish itself looked nice but it was hardly seasoned. Luckily there were salt and pepper-mills on the table to tune it, but even that helped only so - so. Overall 5/10 Main course was chicken curry. I expected nice and tender chicken with lots of spices but I was disappointed once more. Chicken was overcooked and there were practically no spices in a curry! Again I had to tune it myself as much as possible. I even go to the length of saying that it was worse out of two and it was 15 €!! 3/10 from me. Service was OK, nothing special and nothing to complaint - 6/10. Atmosphere itself - well it was too dark there and place itself would need some renovations - 5/10. Problem is that when you stay at Radisson Blu Daugava you have practically few options to dine. Either take a taxi to the old town or eat at Panorama - there is nothing really close to walk-by. To summarize - Panorama will get 4/10 for food, 5/10 for atmosphere and 6/10 for service, giving it a mere 15/10 overall. I would usually sum it up to be 3 star overall review but I just can`t do it as food was really poor and pricey! P.S. There is also a "cake" area, but I did only see few cakes to choose from.More

The wine list is decent especially on the white side and the starters are well made, my medium-rare ribeye was unfortunately well-done and the potatoes could use some salt. At a cheaper place this would have been a solid four especially with the great service...from Igors the waiter.More

This restaurant in Radisson hotel Daugava offers excellent breakfast for its guests, the best, along with another Radisson, Latvia, of all Radissons in Riga. Very good choice of high-quality food, with the Latvian local food corner. Very good service, except one weekend in the middle...of February, when other (temporary?) staff worked, and worked very poorly: ALL three meals or drinks of my choice were not available on the counter, only empty trays, and our table was not cleaned up during our breakfast, as usually. Again, it happened only once during our stay.More

Visited during a stay at the hotel. Started with soup which was good. The main however was a complete let down. I ordered the spaghetti which came with tiger prawns. When it arrived at best it was warm, certainly not hot - I can only...assume that it had been sat on the pass for an extended period of time. The restaurant wasn't busy so I cannot see why this should have happened. Having tried a mouthful I decided that it was not edible and requested the bill - the restaurant manager informed me that he would remove the main from the final total which was good of him as I had no intention of paying for it. Unfortunately I have another week at the hotel and with local eating options limited may be forced to return.More

I was very tired after one long business day and decided to eat in the hotel. And the Panorama restaurant is located exactly inside the Radisson Blu Daugava. The place is just average, nothing special. Even the so claimed beautiful view is not so exciting...as the restaurant it is at street level and you cannot see too much. The food was indeed very good. I had a nice pumpkin soup and rabbit with vegetables. Very delicious. Even the beer that the waiter suggested was nice. And the service was friendly, police and warm. So I was happy with my choice and the overall dinner. Prices are very acceptable.More
