Despite thinking this place looked like a tourist trap I decided to eat here for my birthday on 27th October as I had noticed there was wild boar on the menu, and even though the price was high I was determined to have the wild boar, so I did! Well! The portion was absolutely HUGE, which made the price understandable,... More

My friend and I visited here during our stay in Riga. We had already been to a number of places for food and / or drink during our first few days in Riga, however this one has to be the best. The food was reasonably priced and the service was good, however the food was absolutely delicious - the best... More

You must try this place. Excellent food and drink. We visited 8 years ago and loved it so much that we had to try it again. The food was even better and the portions sizes were incredible. The ales were very good and if you like a challenge try the homemade local moonshine. Staff were brilliant as well.

There is a great atmosphere. Meals are delicious, fresh and big. We ordered fish plate and souceseges plate from starters. It was outstanding. The service is perfect. Very recommended place.

We ate dinner here on a quiet Monday night in October. We were made very welcome by the lady owner who was happy to help with explaining the food on the menu. She was at pains to tell us that everything was genuine Latvian. I had soup without a plate which was thick soup inside a round loaf of wholemeal... More

The location is designed like a historical place - large effort to the details. The food and the quantity of food where good. With regard to the position the prices are adequate. A main course costs from 5,50 to 20 €. The waiter wasn't a perfect English speaker but he help with lot of charm. Try this place!

Me and my friend ate perch which was very tasty. Others in our companion ate sausage which also liked. Portions were quite large. Good vine also :)

We went to this place on our first night in Riga, recommended by the hotel. Food was OK, portions were big, but service was extremely slow. We sat on the patio, which was full of customers, and only one poor waitor serving everybody. Nothing more to say, really.

Local latvian food. Especially good selection of fishes but also meat. Interior inside is decorated for tourists but terrace is very nice and personnel is both friendly and service minded. They speak excellent english. Funny details like unique manu cards and the way they bring bill to the table.

Slightly hidden under a terrace this cellar restaurant was a great find. We were looking for something small to bite, but even the small meals filled our stomachs. The taste of the food beat the bigger and more expensive restaurant we visited previous night. A local place at its best.
