Saw sign outside saying ‘Estonian food’, so was really looking forward to trying some. The 4 staff were chatting behind the counter and none of them acknowledged me. Nevertheless, I helped myself to a menu and sat down, on a filthy table, next to the...counter, thinking one of them would be over shortly to clean the table and take my order. I waited and waited, but no service, so I eventually walked out. How can an owner of a business ever let a customer walk out. You obviously don’t care about your business or your customers. Your staff all need dismissing.More

We had a late lunch after traveling from Tallinn. We love European pizza and the thin crust! In America they are too heavy on the sauce and lots of bread! We added some things to our pizza and we got just what we ordered. The...young lady we ordered from was sweet and helpful as we only speak English. Finally - be sure to check out the dessert case! Beautiful collection of artistic designed pies. Almost too pretty to eat. We settled on the mint chocolate and it was to die for. If you are American, and you like Girl scout thin mints you will like this our. Sit was light and tasty and I would call it a “thin mint chocolate mousse pie. Last but not least, it has a romantic, Eastern European vibe which matches the Old Town ambience that surrounds it. Great place to meet friends for hot tea and dessert after a delicious pizza!More

They forgot about our order and we had to go ask them about it and we had to ask about our drinks too. The waiter seemed lost and almost brought us the wrong food. The food was alright.

My family got some potatoes with beans and champignons and I got potatoes with bacon and cheese. The potatoes with beans weren't good. One of my family members couldn't even finish the dish. The potatoes with bacon weren't as bad as with beans, but there...wasn't enough bacon, so it felt like I was eating just potatoes with cheese. The waitress couldn't understand me that well, when I spoke English, so we didn't order what we actually wanted, because of the misunderstanding. Not the best place to eat.More

But having vegan option is the only good thing, the portion sizes aresuper tiny for daily offers. Vegan pancakes are terrible and mushy and oily and also small.

My friends didn't recommend to visit this place, but I decided to give it a try. Ordered daily offer, meatballs with mashed potato and salat. Food was cold, tasteless, random. I'll never give it another try.

We ate pizzas here and they were quite good. We chose small pizzas and they were enough. Very good location and I have to say that our service was really friendly. Prices were really reasonable. Not a high standard restaurant but very nice place to...relax. I really intend to go back there!More

We were looking for somewhere to eat and had done the usual marching up and down the street looking at menus (where displayed) and, perhaps out of desperation, decided to try Ruunipizza, not because it offered pizza (which I consider to be a poor Italian...attempt at toasted cheese) but because it also offered Estonian cuisine. It was out of season and the place was not busy, so we had none of the waiting problems mentioned by other reviewers. Indeed the waitress (Rita is the name on the receipt) was exceptionally good - chatty, helpful and entertaining. We so enjoyed the pea soup we had on the first night that we returned the following night, were greeted like long-lost relatives and I enjoyed Saarepiiga while my wife decided to have porridge (don't ask). Both dishes excellent as before.More

I feel sad seeing what's going on there. I've enjoyed this place in the past but time has moved on and the service has gone down. Today there was just one person serving when it was obvious that at least two were needed, preferably even...three. There is place for about 30 people -- and one waitress? The waitress was clearly overwhelmed with customers. Something was wrong with one other table as they went and clarified this with the waitress (got resolved). Then there was another couple coming in, waiting for some time in the table and then left, talking about poor service because the one and only waitress couldn't serve. The waitress was nice and kind but saying "I'm not working here" as for protection is not any acceptable service. My pizza was slightly burned to black this time. Anyway, I really like this pizza, it is unique, it has a different and very good base and I've enjoyed this also in Kuressaare when it used to be there too. Few months ago I saw a similar situation: there were many people in the place and I asked something from the waitress (another one). It was clear that she just couldn't handle so many orders and I left. I feel sad that I probably have to avoid visiting this place in the future so I wouldn't be a burden to the waitress, or do this when I see there are just few people inside because then I can probably get things done in a normal fashion. I feel sad for those waitresses, it's not their fault and I feel bad seeing their torture in their position; how can I enjoy my meal then? It looks like the owners are not able to do proper and humane business.More
