Pizza is prepared in a live fire oven, which is the only one in Tartu. Of course, you can also enjoy great pasta dishes. Some pastas come straight from Italy, some are made on site, like cannelloni. We also offer authentic Italian meat products: Parma ham and salamis.
Tripadvisor score not in accordance with what we have experienced
Pizzaiolo are very noisy with the plates that is unbearable
Pizze have nothing to do do with Italian ones. Not cooked, very basic … no Italian cheese
Waiters are sympathetic
We were looking for a nice place to have dinner while first time in Tartu and chose La Dolce vita because of the reviews, we also reserved a table outside since it was Saturday night and warm outside. Best decision ever- our waitress was superb...and food was so delicious and we had the best time. It would be too hot if we had a table inside but we didn’t so everything was so great. Try some pizza, seafood pasta and shrimp risotto and definitely panna cotta. Definitely go hungry because food is very filling but oh so niceMore
We stopped in the restaurant for quick lunch on week day. Quickly we ordered two pizzas. Our meal came back in just few minutes i was absolutely impressed by the time they prepared the food. Pizza was delicious it had really beaten my Italian pizza...experience. After the perfect main course we decided for the desert and tiramisu was just perfect ending of great lunch. Would definitely come back to try one of their many pasta dishes.More
Good. Sometimes even great food. Ingredients are excellent. Service is dismal. Just terrible. Couldn’t be worse if they did it on purpose.

Thanks for your review.
We are very sorry to hear you got a bad service.
We have now a lot of new workers as after the Covid-19 pandemic we had to hire new people,so a lot of them need still to improve.
A beautiful Italian restaurant in the heart of Tartu. High quality Italian products, Italian chefs and owners.
I tried many of their dishes during my stay in the town.
Their Neapolitan pizza has nothing to envy to Italian pizzas.
Congratulations to all the staff.
I...hope to return when the pandemic is over, to sit at the table and enjoy their dishes directly at the table.
Well done keep it upMore
Poor, poor, poor for this price and reputation of the restaurant. Small, not tasty etc.
Ordered some pizzas trough internet platform. Using these solutions sounds like perfect possibility for the restaurant to sell crapy quality not facing real client and taking responsibility. Sad.
Been here before and again, visiting with family, was not disappointed! Pasta and lasagna were delicious, also the cocktails. Service was quick, professional and friendly even though the place was packed and all hands were on deck on maximum gear. Would definitely recommend for Italian...flavour fans! Also, nice atmosphere inside a historical arched cellar. Reminded me of my trip to Milan area.More
Ordered pizza “frutti di mare” + gorgonzola cheese and my friend took pasta with chicken and parmesan. Both dishes were amazing. Thanks and i will definately visit you again, when I’m going to visit Tartu again!

Thank you for having visited La Dolce Vita and we are glad that your husband enjoyed our dishes and wine. The wine you're looking for is our Primitivo di Manduria DOP "Papale Oro"
We hope to see you back soon.
