We decided to have a drink in the pub with the highest ceiling in the world. The venue is indeed impressive. The portions are huge, a "small" beer is half a liter for only 3 euro. The pub was very noisy due to beerpong tournament. The benches where you sit are very uncomfortable - but then again, it's a pub.... More

This former gunpowder-cellar has for years been a well-loved restaurant that offers cozy atmosphere, tasty food and some very good beer. Worth paying a visit.

Supposedly the tallest beer-cellar in the world, the Gunpowder cellar is a special place if you have not been there before. The high ceiling, the interior, the brick walls.. If you have, however, you will start noticing other things. Like the food for instance. Nothing wrong with it, it is edible and fresh and all, but nothing outstanding or tasty... More

Very good place for having a Estonian beer. There were quite large and tasty portions, but it was a bit salty.

Had an evening meeting/dinner in Püssirohukelder. It was a "quiet night" with no band etc. The atmosphere was nice, we followed the waitress suggestions about the food (tier) - it tasted very good. For beer-lovers, it's a place you can have also 1L glasses, which is not generally common in Estonia. Would suggest to try their local beer (red). It... More

We went to this "famous" place because everybody told us it was so special. And special it was. In order to get a meal, we had to pay 10 euros in cover charge because there was a concert inside. We ordered our meals, the girl who took our orders was friendly and informative. But when the pepper steak arrived it... More

Polite serving staff. Decent food (I recommend the bread bowl with mash and bacon), nice beer, and relaxed attitude. It looked shut when we arrived, so make sure to give the front door a big push if you're not sure.

Great restaurant and bar in an old gunpowder magazine turned into a beer hall. Really good food, great atmosphere and location.

Unusual setting which adds to its charm, can be very noisy as the atmosphere can be very good.. You basically go here for good beer (served in enormous 1 litre pots), the food (concentrate just on the snack platters if you are settling in for a long night) and crac is with good friends.

Claims to have the highest pub ceiling in the world, and certainly unique, being an old gun powder cellar. Cheerful beer cellar atmosphere. Good beer snacks.
