The location of the restaurant is wonderful. If you come with your own car, parking can be difficult. I would have expected a more professional reception but unfortunately many places in Tallinn have the same problem at the moment. I chose tartare as an appetizer....I would have left out the anchovy garnish myself, there was too much of it, but otherwise it was very good. For the main course we tried the marble steak which was otherwise good, but still - not meedium as hoped. We asked for potatoes on the side and got that too. It was pleasant. The seafood ravioli, unfortunately, was a disappointment. First of all, the ravioli was watery inside. Secondly the sauce was too acidic and thirdly the sauce was too liquid. I would definitely have liked a thicker and more robust sauce. For dessert, we had the "bird's nest". Freshly cut strawberries preserved in sugar were perfect. However, once again - the acidity was too much. Otherwise, the dessert was very good. I would say that the value for money was not what I expected, unfortunately. Everything was a bit clumsy and not inclined to go back. Rather a chill place, not the best choice for dinner.More

If the main course offered had been EDIBLE, I would have given four stars! But unfortunately the duck breast that was offered was the worst of my life that I couldn't chew through. And if the dish, despite the fact that I refused to consume...it, was still on the later bill, then it is not appropriate to give more than one star in the buffet.More

We had decided that after long and successful meetings, we need dine together in some peaceful and special restaurant, so we can also go trough items informally we discussed during the day meeting. We booked dinner from Tuljak. Location of restaurant in August evening was...nice, no noise and interior of restaurant charmed us we entered in. We felt us welcome, waitress was ready to offer menus and aperitif, and during we discussed what we would select, she brought us some small tasting in the beginning, that ensured us that we have selected right place. Everyone of us chose own favorites from appetizer to main dish, everything was perfect and we enjoyed our dinner, still we took also some dessert in the end of night. everyone was happy, it was perfect dinner in very special place with special service.More

This was a sensational evening in a beautiful building. We were looked after by Anna who was exceptional - the service from beginning to end was second to none. The food was properly good too - tasty and well presented. We had a brilliant evening...here. Hugely recommend.More

Very stylish restaurant with fantastic interior and a nice, large terrace. We had a family lunch on a sunny day at the patio. The food was excellent and service impeccable. Highly recommended.

A wonderfully interesting history and stunning setting. Our server was charming, more than happy to enthusiastically explain the food. We found everything delicious, and the little extras from the kitchen were a lovely touch. The online booking was easily navigable from the UK. I cannot...recommend highly enough taking the short journey away from the city centre to enjoy the ambience of Tuljac.More

I visited Tuljak in July - the view was great and the place had overall great atmosphere. Ratatouille and chocolate cake was simply amazing, and also they had the option to serve coffe with oat milk, which tasted great. And the service was super, too....Definitely will visit again.More

We chose Tuljak at random, just because it was located about where we felt we had walked the shoreline long enough. We expected pretty good food, which is not hard to find in Tallinn, but we got something more like extraordinary--pretty inventive combinations of flavors...and ingredients. I had roasted goat cheese with pesto and marinated cherry tomatoes and then lamb dumplings (pelmeni), and both were delicious with an interesting smoky flavor to the cheese and an intense buttery sauce for the dumplings. Service was flawless, and the price was fairly high but nothing out of line for Tallinn and the quality on offer. Absolutely destination-worthy place to eat.More

Beautiful and stylish restaurant with a big terrace and a phenomenal view on the Baltic Sea. Lovely to sit outside in the summer and when it's too cold to sit outside you can enjoy the excellent food in the beautiful restaurant with huge windows. On...a business trip I enjoyed an exceptional lunch here. Our group had rented out the restaurant and the staff tended to our every need. The food was outstanding and the wine was lovely. I especially loved the breaded shrimps. Only remark: some extra toilets would come in handy.More

The one dish was better than the other. We could discover Estonian cuisine with a twist, in a stylish terrace, under high trees, overlooking the garden and further the Baltic sea. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive. The only minus was the Riesling by the...glass which was very average.More

We avoided the place since it’s from the same family of restaurants as Noa (OKish food, average service) and Oko (poor food and horrific service) that, by default, we expected Tuljak to be around the same as Oko at best. To our pleasant surprise -...it’s much better. In fact, it’s really good. There is a nice selection of cocktails to start with, so while you are thinking what to order you can sip something tasty and refreshing. Menu is small and that’s a good thing - often big menus mean that you need to guess which dishes a restaurant can cook well and which are there just for the sake of volume. Small menus usually mean that a restaurant is sure in what they offer and that is clearly the case with Tuljak. We all took shrimps as a starter and these were really good. Estonian restaurants are usually not good at cooking shrimps, but Tuljak clearly breaks this stereotype. For mains most people had cod (and loved it) while I had a steak. My steak was ever so slightly overcooked (I wanted medium), but that hasn’t made it less tasty. Really good steak - I can’t remember the last time I had a really good one in Estonia. I was too full for a desert (which means that portions are generous), but people who took these - loved them. The biggest restaurant critic from the group (my 7 year old daughter) even said that it was the best meal she had in the restaurant for a long time. You know how it usually is with kids - they are not really open to new dishes or those that look new. Chicken offered by Tuljak looked pretty, so she tried it and pretty-much finished. Which is not a common result. All in all I’ll be definitely coming back. Recommended.More
