This small family restaurant specialises in fish. It is located in a park under the Swedish Bastion walls. Popular with locals judging on the number of tables occupied. The restaurant is about a 10-15 minute walk from the Estonian Parliament heading away from the Old...Town, hence why relatively few tourists. But they are missing a treat. The menu is small and only offers fish, but the cooking is imaginative and well presented , and more importantly tastes good. Starters of spicy Tiger Prawns and fish were followed by pike and halibut and chcolate cake. The meal was delicious and service very friendly. all the staff seemed to be able to speak English. The owner said she and her husband used to work in IT and HRM, but loved cooking so much the hobby became their job. A great meal suggests they made the right choice. I suspect though in normal tourist season you would have to book in advance.More
Situated at the enterance of a park, this small fish restaurant provides a pleasantly designed interior and seating on the terrace in the warmer months. We were luckly to have a balmy summer's evening and thus sat outside. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful....We felt most at home and special. The small menu supports the idea of quality and attention to good ingredients. The daily specials were mentioned along with the prices. The entrées (scallops and marinated trout) were delicious and the mains (both daily fish specials) were well presented and balanced. After a couple more glasses of wine, we even decided to finish off the meal by sharing a dessert, the summer mess, with digestives. A truly memoriable experience!More
We ate one of our best fish dinners here yesterday with my husband. Already the starters were real harmony of tastes, and the final orgasm I got with main. Everything was beautiful and well thought. Just came back from a fantastic anniversary dinner here. The food was delicious and the waitress we had was very professional. It’s a family run business. We‘d spent an evening at Kalambuur. It is really the best fish restaurant in Tallinn. Small menue, fresh ingredients, most friendly and helpful staff. Exquisit at an affordable price!

This is a family run small restaurant. You need to book. I was lucky and being alone had the last free table. The service was very pleasant and they seemed to time it right every time without any hovering around. The food was delicious. Fish...of course and well prepared. We visited this cosy seafood restaurant in down town Tallinn. The restaurant has a very cosy interior design. The reception service was excellent. The food was absolutely great: scallops with kaviar and peas; salmon with almond crush and ginger... also their selfmade bread was just...top. Fresh ingredients, nice food, cozy environment. My only “But” is that they forgot to bring our appetizer. We didn’t complained because they brought our main courses very quick and we were having a great time with my daughter. Is outside of the old town and...when you look from outside maybe you will think you are in the wrong place, so is a nice surprise when you go in.More
