We started with open sandwiches, which made a very good lunch, but it was dessert for which I had really come to this highly-reviewed cafe. And well-deserved were those great reviews too. Of course, I ordered the largest dessert on the menu -- basically one...of everything. It was essentially four different flavours of ice cream, and not vanilla, strawberry and chocolate either - there was run and raisin, passion fruit, grand marnier, and something that else that I cannot quite identify, perhaps blackberry, along with a delicious chocolatty biscuit, some really tasty sweet sticks, chantilly cream, cherries and chocolate sauce. Now I love ice cream, and have eaten it all around the world, and this is the best ice cream dessert I have ever come across. It was so good that I was sorely tempted to have a second serving right then and there, but we have two more days in Tallinn and I plan on getting back here at least once more before it is time to go home.
If you like ice cream, be sure to find this adorable olde worlde place - it is certainly worth the effort.More
The cozy courtyard leads you through La Belle Époque. Stunning atmosphere, furniture, colors, warmth: made me feel right away at ease like I've been knowing this place forever.
The service was great. So far I had the pleasure of having the most friendly waitress in...Tallinn, who offered also to give water to the dog we were walking. (Not to mention the costumes, lovely)
Great was also my Latte Caramellato, a bit overpriced only if you forget you're right in the center of the Old Town.
Very Bohemian. Highly recommended.More
Poor quality of food and coffee, but a high price. I went there for the nice sitting area outside but I realised that most waiters are unfriendly. They require clients to go inside to order while they can easily take the order while you sitting....- also not rational during the pandemicMore
The place is absolutely charming, a way to switch off and move back in time to the 1929’s... and it has more calories per square meter than any other café in Tallinn. Specialising in chocolate in any form - home made cakes, truffles (20 different),...hot chocolate ... but also ciabatta with different toppings and quiche.
Tallinn is not a hectic place by any means, but if you need a break and really relax Chez Pierre is a can’t miss experienceMore
