Traditional restaurant in Tallinn, it’s good option for having a medieval experience and trying some Estonian food! Their soup was really good, great option for comfort food!

Initially I wanted to go to an Italian restaurant but I got bounced off because it was full. Then I came across this place and it was a good choice. A solid menu for meat lovers. A bit pricey but I guarantee that after a...meal here you will be so full that you will hardly move :-) I had a chicken broth and a beef stew in bread and it was really tasty. A very nice service and an interesting Baltic See historical map on the wall. There is a cafe with the same name just adjacent to the restaurant.More
As in the title, poor coffee. Our cakes were good but the distasteful coffee spoiled the visit. And the same in Finnish: pahan makuista kurakahvia, en suosittele, menkää muualle.
The restaurant is good and especially the people working there are very efficient. I liked the fact that the waitress quickly found a solution to find a seat for me despite it being it quite full, I did not have to wait for long. The...waiter who served me was also very nice. I went on a day that they had 20% off due to Easter, otherwise I probably would not have gone there because the prices are more expensive than normal. I had the Moose meat which cost 18€ but the Portion was not so big. The dessert costs 9€ for a slice of cake which is expensive in my opinion. Anyway, you can find the menu with prices online so you can decide for yourself. In my case I went only because of the discount so I had 3 course meal with one coca Cola for 30€.More
Whilst on our visit to Tallinn we wanted to experience a proper Tallinn restaurant with that medieval feel. We were easily won over buy the menu as they had lots of choices to choose from and the decor definitely gave us that medieval vibe we...were looking for. We ordered the beef stew in the bread bowl and also the lamb stew with a cheese top and baked potatoes. Both meals were delicious, hearty and warmed us up after a long day exploring. Service was speedy and the servers made us feel welcome.More
Very good food! Very good service and you Get a lot for your money! We got big meals and the drinks was big as well. Very happy about this place
We had beef stew in bread and beef filet with french fries. The beef file with the sauce and fries was very good, but the beef stew was a bit disappointment. Only few pieces of meat and lots of potatoes etc. When I mentioned about...it, they brought me new dish and free drink, so well handled. Staff was very nice and friendly. Nice middle ages atmosphere.More
Such good food! When we stopped by to ask to reserve a table we knew we would like the food, because it just smelled incredible! And as a big plus we also got a show with sword fighting! Amazing!
Ыweets, confectionery, bakery and coffee section of the restaurant - this is second entry, not main one. I would say - staff is somehow not motivated to be on top level, even during lunch time and being quite famous tourist place in the middle of...old city. Not interested to be customer friendly. It was just like in a supermarket. You pay - you get that, and goodbye. Food was ok - cake and coffee were fine. Interior is interesting - in the medieval style. Price is higher then average. just average if you consider to use that as a café.More
The restaurant tries to build on Tallinns medieval roots. Old looking furnishing and service personnel in costumes with international medieval folk music in the background. The food was okay, but the servings were very small for the prices. Drinks are expensive to. It's not a...tourist trap, but I consider the place a one-and-done thing.More
We visited Tallinn of medical reasons. There was plenty of time because we do not have to go to the pharmacy. We decided to eat in the town in stead of the ship. My girlfriend choice was Peppersack. We got a good meal of spicy...slow-cooked venison stew, servedin bread bowl. It was special and we liked it.More
A lovely atmospheric restaurant. Staff wore medieval costume and there was some live entertainment, although it was a bit silly. I thoroughly enjoyed my beef stew served in a bread bowl. My partner had venison stew also in a bread bowl but his was half...the size of mine ! Apple pancakes delicious. Prices were reasonableMore
It is getting more and more tourist trap nowadays. Beer and good quality is fine, and Service works, portions are small and prices more than in Helsinki. My deer in baked bread was more like a bun.
The food quite OK, crispy leg and potates, but the staff, feales like it was there first day, food and drinks in ransome order, and we have to point out, several times to get things on the table
It was one of the few places with available tables for reservation right after Christmas. We had the duck and the chicken, which were not bad, but not good enough to have it again. Decent beer. Wine is overpriced. Not going back, that’s for sure.
