Was aware this was a tourist trap type place, it thought we would give it a go. Very quiet when we arrived, only a handful of tables. Waiting staff dressed in medieval clothing. Welcome was short and sweet, think we got 2 words out of...the person that seated us. Place had zero atmosphere, was playing Celtic music very low volume. The staff sat on seats behind the bar when nothing to do, which was most of the time. Garlic bread was ok, very dark bread cut in to thin strips served with sour cream. Our mains were a huge disappointment. The portion size is the smallest I have seen and for between 20 - 25 euros each. My beef was chewy and the pictures shows the size with a fork for scale. We ate and asked for the bill, to then find 20% tax added, which is not listed on the menu. We got a max of 20 words out of the 3 waiting staff, vey very poor. Would avoid this place at all costs. The olde Hanse across the road, similar prices, live music, atmosphere. You have been warned.More
Really nice restaurant. The garlic bread is amazing!!! The sauerkraut was really good too!!! I didn't love the dessert but that could just be my taste. The service was a bit slow but they seemed overwhelmed, not lazy.
Looking forward to last evening meal in Tallinn. However, left extremely disappointed!
Explained allergy when ordering and even translated from Estonian to Russian as was told that was what waitress and chef were. Food came out not as expected, very dry, no sauce and was...offered ketchup instead!
Worth noting moose cutlets are actually just very dried burgers. Manager did come over and try and sort but couldn’t reach an alternative, so offered full refund which was fine but still left hungry and disappointed!! Very touristy and far better places to eat in TallinnMore
We had a great time at Peppersack! The food (Moose!) was really nice, especially combined with the rest of the plate. The service was all you could ask for and very neat during corona-times. Highly recommended!
Used to be our go-to-place on Tallinn.
Service, minimalistic and poor. Not even basic skills with language.
Food, uneatable. Rarely do we need to stop eating because food is so poor.
Not going here anytime soon.
After a long sight-seeing day we were heading back to our hotel when we accidentally found a free table in the shadow on the terrace of this restaurant. We were received with a really warm welcome and the waitress helped us to make our choice....Traditional Estonian fried garlic bread, lamb, and Solyanka.
We found other local specialities like crispy fried pork ears, fried herrings on the menu that also wanted to try. This restaurant is right in the heart of the touristic area of the Old Town, but because of the kind and friendly service coupled with very tasty dishes we have decided to eat here 3 more times! We did not regret it at all, we were treated as VIP clients. Their solyanka soup was really top, I would strongly recommend it to try!More
