I ordered a daily main course. Does it look like a traditional Italian cooking? It looks like a got a sad kebab dish. I got a snapy service from the girl. It wasn´t a warm welcoming and delicious experience Italians are known for. Though the...mash potato was great!More

Sad, but true. I rarely post a negative review, but today I have just nothing else to do to just tell what I feel about the food in Taverna Gallo Nero. Visited this place very often several years ago and I knew this place by...this particular dish - Black Risotto with king prawns, pumpkin and mascarpone. It was good by that time when we last visited the place. Today the dish already looked creepy and the taste was even creepier. I don’t know what this chef was doing in the kitchen, but surely not making any food. Risotto should be crunchy, not like a glue what is sticking in one mass. It was surely also over boiled. There was no taste and it was really not eatable. I surely expressed my thoughts about this dish to a waitress and asked chef to taste this dish also, but as I thought then the chef didn’t even showed up to explain the crap he had made to us. They just reduced 5€ from the bill and that’s it, just this crap costed 12€ in total. Sad but true - this place will be only as good as the chefs are putting effort on food. There was zero effort today and the only eatable food was Bruchetta Pomodori. They even failed with pizzas, by forgetting to add the seasoning to them to make those at least a bit tastier. I have to but only one star, as there is no chance to put zero, as the quality today was nonexistent...More

Restotran had a strange moldy smell. The waitress was new and did not know about the menu. I ordered the fisherman's pasta and it tasted ok. 3 years ago I was very happy with the place, but today I no longer invite me back there. I...feel sorryMore

Tapas plate was so lovely! And the price was also very good for two people😊 Tapas plate, two main courses and a bottle of house wine cost us under 60 euros. Main courses weren’t THAT great but still okay. Service either wasn’t the best we’d...ever had. I would still recommend this restaurant and especially its tapas!😛More

We popped in here for a late lunch yesterday before a walk around Kadriorg Park on an unusually spring-like Sunday. Perhaps the weather had drawn a lot of people out and more of them to the restaurant than they'd bargained for, since the place was...quite full but there was only one (inevitably overworked) waitress serving all of them, including working the bar. I felt sorry for her, as she was literally having to run around to cover everything, but this inevitably meant that service suffered, being slow and abrupt. The pizzas we ordered were quite good (I had the spinach & salsiccia) and were in identifiably Italian style, but that was really the only positive. Two pizzas and two soft drinks came to just over €22.More

Saturday´s lunch with my fiancee. Restaurant was empty, last table just left when we arrived. The waitress was friendly but ill unfortunately and tho i admire her will to still come to work, it was not very pleasant when she sneezed and was coughing while...taking our order etc. One big plus side was that the cappuccino and latte were amazing - perfectly foamed milk and tasted good! I ordered black risotto with prawns and my fiancee had grilled steak and vegetables. My risotto was the weirdest thing i have eaten - over boiled like breakfast porridge and because it was mixed with pumpkin puree it tasted like baby food. Al dente rice was no where near. And my fiancee´s steak, that was ordered medium, was totally rare from the middle. I prefer lower degree but unfortunately not my fiancee. First bite of the raw part and his appetite was gone :( Also the onion sauce was really sweet. We sent the steak back and waitress kindly offered him new one but we preferred to leave and she just took it off of the bill. On the mean time - being the only table in the restaurant - they were moving the tables for one bigger reservation and did not lift the tables and chairs but pushed them on the floor..that made such a disturbing noise that we felt like we were sitting in a storage room. Interior was sweet and cozy, prices were okay. Unfortunately we will not go back and it is very hard to recommend this restaurant.More

Good Italian food with reasonable pricing. Service was ok (slightly slow) and food was really good. They made a special dish for a really allergic member of our family.

The Roman style pizza with thick crust was very good and fluffy. The single waitress was just a bit overwhelmed trying to serve all the tables. Food came quickly though.

I am strongly not recommending this place not because of the food is not tasty but the staff is very rude. Also we are served dirty glass. I liked their small winery in Old town just because the service is always excellent as they have...really friendly staff. I hope they would change their attitude as soon as possible in this place.More
