We threw the dice and ended up in this cellar bar, glogi and beer were fine, menus didn't make the food look appetising so ate elsewhere

As I walked into the bar, I asked the barmaid if I could take an empty table - she just huffed at me in contempt, and walked away. Didn’t even bother sitting down - and went to the friendlier bar down the road.

This is a small and cosy bar, just to sit down, take a rest and have beer. But I guess also to have a small party if you want. We went there with a larger group and had some beers. The waiter was totally relaxed...and nice, also he allowed us to put on our own music, which was cool. The interior looks a bit weird, but does have charm.More

We ordered food and beer at this place... the food was terrible, tasted bad, Boeing menu... the persons working there was very bad at English and didn’t seem that happy to be serving us... don’t go there!! There’s so many other places to get dinner,...no place can be as terrible as this..More

Ill-mannered waitress, she didn’t say even “hello” when we came in. She beat the menu lists on our table. Very rudely she came to us waiting for the ordination. Obviously I don’t advice this place to anybody.

We had a late lunch here. They have several simple options to pick from and the only thing that changes is the piece of meat you get. The rest is pretty much the same uninspiring stuff like ice berg salad, corn salad, slices of cucumber...and some form of potatoes either sliced, mashed or as chips. Don’t expect anything special. The meat will be truly cooked to death so you’ll have something to chew about. You’re better off going somewhere else. The plates are quite large but the content isn’t going to win any awards. They sell Sangria for 6 Euros (1/2 Liter) but they should be arrested for calling it that. You’ll get the cheapest, most unpleasant wine they could find with some slices of fruit mixed in. It is just simply embarrassing. Stay well clear from ordering this stuff. Other reviewers said you should probably stick to the beer and I would have to agree. Plenty of choice in Tallinn. Spend your money elsewhere.More

We descended down the steps into this cellar bar on the promise of 3.5 Euro beers. The music was very loud from the overly large speakers over our table that were low enough to make both of us have to stoop down! The beers were...indeed that price and after a visit to the bar we picked up menus and chose to eat here. No-one was particularly friendly or helpful - maybe because it was quiet on a Saturday? Our almond covered chicken came quickly along with chips. The surprise was the other half of the plate with cold vegetables and a bit of salad. After a quick glance at the menu we realised that most of the meals had this as their 'other half'. Probably best to stick to the beer in this place.More

This bar in the lower part of old town is easy to find and has reasonable prices. The service is efficient but not overly friendly. While the main bar is downstairs right on the corner, in nice weather there are some comfortable chairs alongside one...of the main promenades in Old Town. However beware of locals who will take things from your table (condiments, ashtrays, extra chairs, blankets) without even acknowledging you or asking if you might need them. (The charm of Poland and Lithuania quickly evaporates as you move north.)More

On our way to Helsinki ferry after a good meal in Wana Wiipuri, it began to rain quite heavily. Looking for a temporary shelter we spotted KaRu near the Old town wall. It served ok for our purpose; moderately priced beer & a shot of...Wana Tallinn, and noisy conversation (to mute the music selection...). After half an hour we were ready to continue - and the rain was gone.More

If you'd like to go back in time it's the right place for you. The pub was decorated in late 80's and nothing has been changed since then. The interior is tacky. There were not many people on Friday evening so the bartender was sitting...behind the bar and playing with his phone. For me it was nothing special.More
