Today we went on a day trip to Tallinn and the intention was to find a restaurant where there would also be food for vegans. We ended up at Tokumaru Restaurant in the Solaris Mall and it was quite disappointing. We ordered "Salmon and avocado...don" and "Tofu and avocado don" - both of which were quite disappointing. Rice, avocado and some sauce, which made the whole serving became a vague mush. The Tofu was so greasy that it had to be separated from the serving - could not eat it. The Ebishio ramen ordered was OK, but there are way better places for the same price. Tempura maki with salmon was just OK, but it didn't dazzle either. All in all there was a fast food feeling in terms of flavors. Cannot be recommended.More

A lot depends who are at work. Mostly the experience is excellent, both in terms on service and food, but sometimes, maybe with new employees, you get poor food and bad service. Most volatile quality is for fried chicken, most secure bet the dons. Prefer...to order from table avoiding self service as then you will more probably get what you ordered.More

If you want some decent ramen, gyoza or noodles, this is always a good choice. Because it is a restaurant in the shopping center it is not tooo cozy or quiet but for a quick lunch or take away - yes! See you soon again!

Was a great place for a very long time: ramens, gyoza, great starters. Since several weeks ago turned in crappy food. Looks like someone who was responsible for maintaining the quality left the operation. Very unfortunate.

Great food and service. Normal portions. Unfortunately sitting area isn't very cosy, not good atmosphere. For the quick lunch it is OK, but not for nice chill with friends.

Tokumaru has several locations in Tallinn, and out of other countless "authentic" Japanese kitchens, they really serve quality dishes. Solaris restaurant has a simple setup, offering somewhat birds-eye view to the mall crowds. They take your order at the table, but you`ll pay at the...checkout when leaving. There are also some Japanese snacks available for purchase. Water is freely available, which is yet unfortunately not a common practice in Estonia.More

We took gyoza and shoyu ramen when visiting Tokumaru. Environment is a shopping centre and clientele mainly youngish. Food was good and ingredients of good quality. But I would like to have a proper tare sauce with my gyoza (instead of some kind of chili...mayonnaise). Also the taste of pork was quite strong in the ramen.More

Good to find a Japanese Ramen restaurant in Estonia. We ordered Ramen, Dumpling, Curry Rice and Sushi. All of them were good, nice staff. It is located in Solaris shopping mall where is not near the old town center, need to have 10-15 mins walk....Worth to try!More

If you plan a visit there, it's wise to get a table booked, because at times there are no free tables and nothing else can guarantee you a free table. I've always loved that place and it's nice to see its popularity growing ever more!...Nice, friendly service and delicious food. There's something for every taste. Oh and there's a nice variety of vegan options and they're delicious!More
