The place felt somewhat sad. Not many people from the hotel (admitting the competition is hard as the hotel is just 15 minutes walk from the old town of Tallinn). I had some duck but it lacked taste - as if the portion had been...prepared somewhere else, some time earlier and only heated in the restaurant. I am sure this was not the case but it wasn't what you expect when ordering a magret de canard. Wine was ok but they only had one wine sold per glass. For a place like that - where majority of guests must be dining alone - sounds rather strange. Maybe the number of wine drinkers simply is not high enough in a beer-dominated culture.More

One of the best places to eat lunch in CBD in Tallinn. Lots of options and good quality. You can eat there in 10 minutes if you are in a hurry.

I stayed at the Park Inn and had breakfast here for 3 days. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, lots of options to cater to every appetite! Decentish coffee as well. Dinner was solidly average in price and taste. Had beef burger one night, everything except the...patty was amazing. Patty was a little bit under seasoned and overcooked. Second night I had creamy beef pasta with tomatoes. It was nice but nothing exceptional. All in all a very enjoyable place to eat while staying in the hotel and very impressed with breakfast but wouldn't go out of my way to eat in the evenings.More

Only had breakfast there and one lunch when I stayed at the hotel while on a business trip. A wide variety of breakfast dishes to suite all tastes and needs. Be aware that it gets very busy and it is recommended to go very early...before the rush.More

It is visited mainly by office workers in the vicinity who want a hot meal and/or a salad buffet. There are six...or so dishes to choose from. The prices were about the same as other nearby restaurants, and the selections were pretty standard. Service is good unless a whole tour group arrives - when that happened the servers got a bit overwhelmed and it took them a bit of time to circle...back to me.More

I'm used to rather expensive places and the only thing why I think Kompass could have been a bit cheaper is that nearly all similar places offer way better sitting options. Yep, I wasn't comfy at all (almost 2 meters tall). But if we talk...about food - it's really good. I would easily put it in my top 10 of places offering best dishes. And you can't beat that view unless you are in just a few similar places in Tallinn. Service? Well, it's on par with the place (aka really good). If there were better seats - I would not put 5 stars still since there are just a few laces really deserving 5 stars in Tallinn. But Kompass is highly recommended even if you'll need to eat while standing. Go there and enjoy your meal.More

In Cafe Kompass you can get nice and good price lunch (max 5 €). Staff is friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my lunch!!

We only had morning breakfast here. It is at the Park Inn Central. Standard contenintal fare, nothing to write home about.
