I read about this place in a book and it seemed touristy but fun. Actually, when I went, it wasn't so bad for tourist crowds, though I did go early. Be prepared for to-the-point conversations with the staff. They likely get many questions and are...More

We really loved this quaint place. The pies were delish and the atmosphere was amazing. Stop in for a cozy bite in between sightseeing stops. You won't be disappointed!!

The absolute medieval experience! We loved this traditional restaurant and its meals which served on medieval way. Beautiful & cosy place, although with not so polite staff.

Two friends recommended Draakon, located at the side of the Town Hall, so we had to go! Medieval atmosphere, with candles, go to the counter to order and pay. Food consists of soup, pies, sausage and elk when we where there. Being veggies we had...More

Very cool medieval pub. All stone and wood rustic by candle light. Fabulous atmosphere with good dark beer and flaky meat pies. Of course it's a tourist trap. All the places in the old plaza are tourists places. This one was reasonably priced and the...More

Wild mushroom pie, elk soup and oxmeat sausage, all washed down with a pint of the very drinkable local brew. A bit cliche but not bad for 13 euros.

This place is fantastic! Unapologetically offering a peasant dining experience, it is a small atmospheric setting in the town hall. Food options on offer: delicious elk soup, sausages, ribs or a variety of small pies including carrot, game or mushroom. The staff give some excellent...More

Stopped off for a quick spot of lunch and had the Elk soup and pie which was yummy. It's based in the Old Town hall and the staff are dressed in old fashioned costume. The food was really cheap and the staff play up to...More

An old, very small Estonian taverna. Cozy, warm and cute. Eat & drink while you're in the Middle Ages. Also cheap; elk soup 2.50, pastry 1.50, wine 4.

I doubt that, as they didn't know about gluten in 1453. But it's more of a place where you go for a quick lunch, so it won't take long to figure that out. They got soup (mostly meat, you gotta ask), pies (like a shepherd's... More

Description
Located under the 12th Century Raekoda (Town Hall) building in the main square of Old Town Tallinn, Kolmas Dragon (or the Third Dragon) is a small medieval-themed tavern. This charming eatery with its beautiful-period interior is hosted daily by a group of petulant housekeepers whose job it is to entertain all-comers with their brusque and rude service manner. However this is all purely theatrical - a style that is closer to the behaviour that one would have received in the medieval ages.

Specialities that are served include beef ribs, elk soup, savoury pastries, pickles from a barrel, teas, wines and the famous house beer.

All those who enter should therefore be ready for not only tasty foods and beverages but also to some exceptionally entertaining service.
