We went for a dinner and food was absolutely amazing. For the main courses we had pan-fried baltic herring fillets and breaded chicken fillet (i think it was the juicest chicken fillet what i have ever had). Service was lovely and there is no doubt...that we are going back.More
We ended up having lunch at Rataskaevu16 as it is was not possible to book for dinner - we were tempted by the top recommendation her at tripadvisor and other places. I would say the restaurant is fine, fantastic historical surroundings - the food (I...had braised elk) fine. But even at lunch, it was very crowded and very touristy. Know we were tourist too - but I did not have the same feeling the other places, we had lunch or dinner.More
We excepted more since it was rated #1 on Tripadvisor for Tallinn. Food was quite tasty, though it lacked the exquisiteness. Some of the dishes had parts that were prepared a bit sloppy, i.e. tomatoes having their cores in etc. We also ordered a bottle...of wine and we didn’t receive it until he have eaten our appetizer. A plus for multiple vegetarian/vegan options. A prepared menu (3-5 course meal) would be anticipated for this level of a restaurant.More
We recommend this place to anyone spending a day in Tallinn. We tried elk for the first time (and beef) but were amazed by the different nuances in the sauces, the purées, and the beautiful assembly on the plate. Moreover, the service was super sweet,...attentive and polite. Even going to the restroom leaves you with a surprising view ;)More
Food was nice, but not exceptional. My server was lovely, but she wasn’t a waitress. Unprofessional in fact. Waited too long to be served, despite only one other table. No welcome or acknowledgment. Water glasses on each table, but no offer of water. She served...soup to man on adjacent table-no spoon. Eventually the poor fellow had to get up and get it himself as staff were invisible.
The bill came quick enough though!!!More
