The café is very pretty, and the window display is gorgeous. However, it did not live up to expectations. The queue was long, and the cakes were nice enough, but we had far better in Tallinn. The coffee was nothing spectacular, and the savoury pastries...were also nice enough, but again, not special. The confusing thing was some people were having some kind of meal on plates with salad, but we could not see that advertised anywhere - it seemed that if you knew about it, you could have it! The toilets were not particularly clean either, which was a shame.More

We stopped in this building for scope out the marzipan (actually to go to the bathroom in the basement). The candy shop is small but has many brightly colored confections. It is also only one of three marzipan studios left in the country. The wares...are too beautiful to eat. The candy counter is adjacent to a marvelous coffee shop in the olde world style. The tables are beautiful and the wood is dark. Soak up the ambiance.More

Cakes were okay, nothing spectacular. Service wasnt very friendly. Dirty toilets. Building has a nice atmosphere. I think this place is over-hyped and over-priced.

This was a beautiful cafe in the heart of Old Town. Espresso and pastries are very nice. The cafe itself is beautiful with some interesting artwork and historical pictures. Definitely worth a stop for coffee as you explore Tallinn.

Great, authentic shop. Gets very busy with 1 register / employee and the coffee is just fine but nothing out of the ordinary. Come here for the looks, not a smooth coffee experience

Cute, historic cafe with some patio seating as well as a crowded indoor area but the line gets long very quickly and I don't see any reason to pay these prices. Food was good but you can get equal from other cafes and more choices...if you're hungry for a bigger breakfast (I was). No fresh juice, etcMore

The window claims it is the oldest cafe in Tallinn. It certainly is a pleasant place to stop and rest for a while. The cakes are fabulous and reasonably priced. The Vans Tallin coffee will warm you up on the coldest day. (Think Irish coffee...made the the local liquor.) Very pleasant.More

This would deserve a 5 but each time we got there either they were closing or a very limited choice of cakes. The pistachio cake is good and more than decent coffee.

Traditional and stylish cafe with decent tea ‘pig’ tea. Mellow background music and a relaxed feel with a rotating ferris whee holding tea cups in the window.

Sade Liis was the best server! I am so glad my Free tour guide told us about this place being the oldest in town. I really enjoyed the pastry and the ham sandwish! Teas were nice too!

Excellent pastry and coffee shop still showing its elegant lineage. I skipped my hotel breakfast each day in favor of coffee and pastries here. Locals, students and tourists give it a warm, lively vibe. Recommended.
