We dined at Leib in mid June with 5 girlfriends. Must I say that our experience was excellent. Food was amazing, drinks well matched and deserts yummy! Also the effortless and enthusiastic service. Our waitress was delightful, had good sense of timing and felt our...More

We were on a day trip to Tallinn and spotted this little gem on Trip Advisor. We nearly missed it as the entrance is at the side of a building for sale. But once at the top of the stairs, you find yourself in a...More

The food is very good here. Black bread is superb as are all the dishes on the menu we tried. Our only criticism (and it's no fault of the restaurant) was the Estonian wine. Tasted very much like an upmarket cider. Nice, but expensive for...More

Tried this restaurant as it was near by as a solo traveler on a Sunday at 1315hrs (11/6/17). One may missed the entrance to the restaurant, in fact I didn't realised there was a restaurant after walking pass twice. The restaurant was well hidden away...More

Service was excellent, the bread really tasty. Also the appetizer "Kalamatsi dairy soft cheese with Intsu farm tomatoes, dill oil and cilantro" was a beautiful and very delicious dish. However, we didn't find the "Slow-cooked Rägavere manor lamb ribs with crunchy vegetables and celeriac chicken...More

We have found this restaurant via recommendation of locals; however we did not make any reservation in advance. We have tried to visit the restaurant but of course it was fully booked, but a nice waitress at the reception offered us a table next day,...More

We have just come back from a superb dinner on our first night in Tallinn. The dishes were excellent and very tasty and the recommended wine choices worked extremely well. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Lots of local people there this evening.

Description
Leib is run by two professional foodies - a chef and a sommelier. Having our own restaurant is a dream come true for both of us. Leib means black bread in Estonian and we have chosen it to be our name for a reason! Good old local black bread - fresh, warm, simple, and honest - it's what we, Estonians, grow up with and what we dream about when away. It's what we are, really. Good bread is always made with soul. We are passionate about sharing goodies from our homeland. We work with local farmers and fishermen to create delicious yet simple dishes. Since most of our ingredients are local, the menu is always seasonal. Less is more- therefore our menu is compact and constantly changing. Hand-made bread, coupled with foods made from natural, local ingredients is a true gastronomic delight. Leib - soulful casual dining!
