About
LEE is a successor of Leib Restaurant, managed by the same team! LEE: a word describing the ancient Estonian communal fireplace around which life would vividly simmer and crackle; a place to prepare and share delicious meals together. Today’s LEE is inspired by this same primeval joy for familial life, connecting around tables, sharing food and stories. We are guided by our love of local produce, combined with international skill and playful curiosity. The centrepiece of our menu is always local, sourced from artisan producers and our friends from farms and forests, which we enrich with our own experience from abroad. As we Estonians are ever evolving, our menu also changes accordingly, characterised

Great place innovative and good food. Only one small minus is that the appetizers and main course came super fast without time to eat previous portion. Then dessert we had to wait quite a long time and immediately after we got the desert they said...we need to pay because next reservation is coming. But this was very minor issue and handled with grace.More

The place itself is gorgeous and cute. Service is welcoming, but gone the days when they explain you what is on the dish, and strangely our waiters looked elsewhere instead of on the guest, myself trying for some time to show to service that we...are finished with the course and ready for the next one. Starters were kind of meh, shitake one was bland and I guess directionless, cucumber were not really grilled, seemed like somebody just flamed it with a torch, except that - not that exciting dish. Second course was much stronger: antrecote was simply perfect, everything, the balance, the taste, the amount were on point. Fish was good, but four small pieces of fish for second course is a bit of a small portion. Desserts were kohuke and black orange, were really nice and interesting. In conclusion good if with little hiccups.More

Boasting an extraordinary setting by the city walls, Lee takes full advantage of its environment to create an unforgettable experience. The food and service have a tall task to equal the setting but both shine brightly as well. The Lee experience is both a more...interesting and economical way to enjoy dinner if you’re open to not know what is coming next. Every dish was a fusion of local and international cuisine that displayed the talent in the kitchen. There are several a la carts options as well. The wine list is extensive and balanced. Finally the service should not go unmentioned. It was prompt without being rushed and each dish well explained. Our server did a wonderful job recommending new and interesting wine to match. Our best meal in Tallinn and likely on our whole trip.More

We enjoyed everything about our evening- the warm welcome and enthusiasm of the staff, the beautiful garden setting and the wonderfully balanced menu with fresh ingredients and interesting taste combinations. The price, including a delicious rhubarb and gin aperitif and wine pairing we considered to...be fair, given the quality of the food and surroundings. Heartily recommend.More

Did choose lamb as food and was thinking about a tasty read wine, but the waiters did recommend a dry white wine Excuse me what ? I did have a taste, well it was dryer than a dry sherry No way, But I did trust...a pro. It was an excellent choose with the lamb, it brought the taste on a superb level the wine is added as a pic Great food with professional service Great atmosphere, clean A little bit hidden so not that easy to find I recommend and remember to let the waiters to guide you through the different wine and food combinationsMore

Overall wonderful evening Had a table reservation, got options to sit outside at the terrace or inside- chose the terrace. Food was overall really good with beef tartar being the star of the evening. Different textures with mushrooms, mustard leaves and toasted crispy bread crumble....But staff and wines are the reason of 5 star rating. Wine list is long and diverse: from local berry wines to old world classics. Selection of wine by the glass is ok, but there’s also a Coravin section which is just spectacular. A chance to go for really good wines that would otherwise be available only by bottle. Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos 2000 by the glass-daaaumn! Staff was overall very friendly. Even though most of the waiters are quite young, they keep the standards high and act professional. Waiter in charge of our table was Polina, who was really charismatic and ready to answer all of our questions (there were a lot) and knew the restaurant well enough to recommend good food-wine pairings etc. P.s. Rowanberry schnapps is a bomb - 11/10 recommendMore

Wonderful location and cozy seating arrangement outdoors. The starter was average. Nice smokey sour cream sauce with potatoes three ways. Two of them undercooked. A sprinkle of pink roe with very subtle yet pleasant flavor. The sparkling wine served with the starter was great! Beef...tenderloin was our main. The cut of meat was nicely cooked and flavorful. The red wine sauce was disappointing and lacked depth. The accompanying carrots were dry and overpowering. Two tiny halves of potatoes seemed unnecessary. The service throughout the meal was ok. We had three different servers seeing to us. One of which seemed very knowledgeable. The other two fairly young and unable to answer simple questions regarding the food. In terms of value for money I was very disappointed. I had heard such good things.More
