My husband and I tumbled into La Prima Pizza on a rainy November day. We were welcomed by the most delightful waitresses and were seated by a window where we could see the drenched St Nicholas's (Niguliste) Church through the downpour. My husband had the...garlic bread and I had the bruschetta for starters. The garlic bread was warm and yummy and I had expected my bruschetta to be served warm as well. However, it was cold. I would have loved it cold in the summer, with the kick of the fresh flavour of the basil, tomato and garlic, but I would have preferred it to be warm on such a miserable Novemer day. (The taste did zing though and I was taken straight back to my time in Italy) The pizza was much better than those we had when we lived in Napoli (Napolitean pizzas were not great), but not as flavoursome as the pizzas that we tend to eat in the UK. However, the Snickers cake with a glass of Moscato d'Asti really hit the spot for me. If I were to visit again during the winter, my perfect combination would be the garlic bread, followed by pasta and Snickers cake with Moscato d'Asti.More

Nika, our server, provided excellent recommendations and a charming service - she was incredibly sweet and attentive :) The surprise cake and song for my boyfriend's birthday were unexpected delights.
