The place is in the Old Town, so easy to find. It’s a traditional cellar with a warm, authentic atmosphere. The staff was polite and we got delicious lunch. We had a great time there, I highly recommend it.

Found this Place almost by accident. There was no-one in as I arrived. Took a while for them to notice me being in. Service was really polite. Took quite a while for the food to be ready, but definitely worth the wait. Atmosphere is lovely,...like an old cellar. Interior beautiful, peaceful and clean and neat! For foot I had the crispy chicken! Really big recommendation!! And the bread. ❤️More

Very tasty, good quolity and in the same time traditional food. In the heart of old town on a very narrow street in the cellar, good food and service - beautiful concept.

The place is really nice and cozy, but the service is awful. We waited over a hour for our food (they didn’t warn us about the waiting time first) and on top of that, they served me the wrong order. They did offer 10% discount...when I complained but then they tried to charge us for the meal I received, but didn’t order (and it was more expensive). We then had to argue about it for way too long before the waiter gave us the right amount to pay. Overall, food was good, but the service was terrible and definitely not worth the visit. We do not recommend this place.More

Found this charming sub-terrainean restaurant at the end of St. Catherine's Passage after a long morning walking around Tallinn's old city. I was looking for something light, so I ordered the cheese plate and a bowl of the fish soup. The cheese plate was huge,...enough to serve as an appetizer for 2-4 people. It had several different cheeses including a small wheel of brie with a creme brulee finish on top. Served with dark bread and some fruit - it was excellent and only 7 Euros. The fish soup was a thin broth with chunks of fish and carrots. It was nice and warm and good after the cheese plate. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, it was after 2pm. Service was good and total including a draft beer was 16 Euros. If I get back to Tallinn, I'd like to try it for dinner.More

I had a good experience here. I ordered chateaubriand and it was both cooked and presented well. Prices are very reasonable given the central location and service was efficient. Would recommend.

Walking along the streets of Old Tallinn, my friend and I went to a restaurant for dinner, despite the fact that the restaurant was full of guests, we were seated at a single free table, and a friendly waitress brought us a menu and recommended...us wine for our chosen dishes. Everything was very tasty, we had a wonderful evening. Thanks to the chefs and waiters. Recommend to everyone!!!!👌More

This is a former monastery cellar. The ambience is warm and surrounds you in history. The food is great and reasonably priced.

Very disappointing experience. We went to Munga Kelder specifically owing to the great location and athmosphere. We were there at lunch time, in a nearly empty restaurant. We were a group of four people, first one of us got the meal ca. 60 minutes after...the order. Next two got theirs ca. 10 minutes later, and the last one ca. 5 minutes after this. Firstly the speed of the kitchen is very slow, and secondly why do they bring the meals one by one with significant time in between. First meal was cold already when we started to eat together, since it was sitting 15 minutes in the table. Secondly, the waitress started collecting plates from part of us when some were still eating. Very unprofessional. No explanations or apologies at any stage and I frankly do not understand how the service was so appauling. When asked the waitress just said that they are too busy, with only two chefs in the kitchen. However, there was only four other people in addition to us in the restaurant. Never again to this restaurant. Very unfortunate since the surroundings are great, and it could be an outstanding restaurant. The food itself was quite ok, but nothing to remember about.More

Medium steak was served as well done. The quality of steak wasn't as good as expected. The service was nice and fast enough.

The kitchen forgot our order but they were very apologetic and the food more than made up for this. Delicious fish and meat options.
